The U.S. economy is experiencing negative shocks to both demand and supply.

Inefficient regulations exacerbate this shock, limiting production and raising prices.
Governments, especially at the state and local level, should take this opportunity to ease
the hefty regulatory and reporting requirements they place on employers, while also
suspending regulations that are inhibiting production of goods that are needed during
this time.
