PACKAGING MACHINERY SHOW

The many new and modified packaging machines scheduled for
showing at the P A C K A G I N G M A C H I N E R Y S H O W 67, set for
Atlantic City, N. J., September 18-21, has required expansion of the
show to nearly 160,000 net square feet of exhibit space - - the third step-up
since show plans for 1967 first were announced - - according to Richard
Wellbrock, president, Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute
( P M M I ) , which produces the show.
"The added area represents 32% more space than was used in the
1965 show," said Wellbrock, "and means that each of the more than
15,000 industry representatives expected to attend will get a one-third
greater machinery exposure than they did in the 1965 show."
More than 200 machinery makers will exhibit in the biennial event,
including a number of European firms.
The show had originally been scheduled for Philadelphia, but was
switched to Atlantic City. It will follow the Miss America Pageant, and
take place one week prior to the Baking Industry Exposition.
The P M M I show is managed by the institute's national office, which
has been moved to 2000 K Street, N. W., Washington, D. C.
