Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

Popplet is a tool that can be used in a smart board and that can be displayed in large screen. Having the app
open in a large screen will make the lesson have a visual of the continents. the children will see the shapes of
each continent in large print for those who might need large print of those who learn better with a visual.

Lesson idea implementation:

The students will begin to look at the planet we live in and get introduced to all the continents. We will look
at a globe so that they can see where the continents are positioned. As a class we will use Popplet to look at
the shape of each continent and how each continent is spelled. The teacher will answer any questions that
the students might have before going more into dept on each continent.
The lesson will be concluded with the students creating their own continent and providing any facts about
each continent. The students will then share with the rest of the class to show what they have learned. The
teacher will take not and make sure that the students are giving accurate information of the continents. As
feedback I can provide any information that is important that the student might have missed.

Reflective Practice: The lesson is created to teach the students about the planet we live in. The students will
learn that the earth is made from continents and that each is different. This lesson idea will be great to start
teaching about the different cultures that are found around the world. the students can use computers to
research about each continent and what cultures and countries are found in each continent.
