Professional Goals and Plan for Achievement

1. Clinical Practice Related Goals

a. One of my goals is to become more efficient at delegating tasks. As a RN I want

to get better at understanding other people’s scopes of practice so I can more

effectively delegate my time and theirs. I plan to achieve this goal within my first

year as a nurse, as I become more familiar with the delegating process.

2. Education Goal

a. One day I would love to teach nursing school and become a clinical instructor. To

do that I will need some form of continued education such as a master’s degree in

education. To achieve this goal, I will plan on working as a nurse for several years

to gain experience, then consider going back to school in about 6 years to get a

master’s degree.
