Super-detailing items for the 1:12 scale Tamiya brand Williams FW14B Renault Formula 1 model.

This car is the revolutionary ‘active suspension’ 1992 car, designed by Adrian Newey and driven that year b
Mansell and Ricardo Patrese. The car was very successful. Nigel Mansell won the 1992 world driver’s cham
with 9 grand prix wins from the 16 races. Riccardo Patrese won 1 race and was 2nd to Mansell in 6 of the ot
total domination gave Williams the 1992 Constructors Championship by a large margin..

The items in this auction are a comprehensive and complete collection of detailing items including more
turned metal and photo-etched metal parts, together with cables and decals from various suppliers all de
give an extra higher level of detail to the Tamiya kit.

The items included are shown in the auction images, together with examples of their application.

The items are:

- F1 Specialties brand sponsor decals as featured on the car during most races during 1992. The decals
included in the standard kit are those for races where tobacco advertising was banned.

- carbon fibre decal sheets (2 different pattern and colour types), to give improved reproduction of texture
to the chassis and other carbon fibre parts.

- identification decals for the tyres and temperature sensor decals (used on the tyres and brakes), as shown
in the item photographs.

- 4 x metal air valves for the car’s wheel rims.

- 8 x metal brake bleeder valves for the car’s brake calipers.

- Acustion (from Japan) brand 10 point set of photo-etched, metal and other parts consisting of:

- metal photo-etched sheet of mechanical parts, including radiator covers, oil cooler covers, bodywork
DZUS’s, screw heads and cable ties.

- metal photo-etched sheet of partition plate parts including underbody heat shielding and exhaust
outlet covers.

- metal photo-etched sheet of tyre masking plates to allow the ‘Goodyear’, ‘Eagle’ and ‘L’ (left) and ‘R’
(right) lettering to be spray painted on the tyres.

- machined metal electrical connectors for the wiring junctions shown in the item photographs, consisting
of:

- 8 x brass box fittings with 8 x aluminium straight boots.

- 4 x brass in-line fittings with 4 x aluminium straight boots.

- 100 mm of 2.0 mm diameter black shrink tube, 100 mm of 1.2 mm diameter black shrink tube and 100
mm of 0.8 mm diameter black shrink tube for the connections between the electrical connectors and
attached cabling.

- 6 x undertray rigging connectors for the rigging lines from the engine to the undertray.

- 600 mm length of 0.3 mm diameter plastic coated braided wire suitable for detail wiring, including the
undertray rigging.

with the standard kit.

- blue braided hose for use as hydraulic lines, replacing the cables provided with the standard kit.

- 2 x straight and 2 x elbow (right angle) A/N fittings to suit the 1.5 mm diameter metallic cable and blue
braided cable.

- Scale Motorsport brand photo-etched metal fixings, consisting of 90 x DZUS’s (for bodywork panel
fixings), 112 washers, 112 nuts, 112 bolt heads and 112 phillips head fixings.

- 200 mm length of 5.0 mm blue shrink tube, and a 200 mm length of 3.0 mm blue shrink tube to match
the Acustion photo etched metal hose clamps. These can be used together to form the flexible joints
between the radiator and other cooling system pipes.

- a CD containing a PDF version of the standard kit instruction manual and reference images of other
builds of this model.

- Tamiya brand finishing abrasive sheets for use in finishing parts. There are 1 x 1200 grit, 2 x 1500 grit
and 2 x 2000 grit sheets included.

- a 5 compartment clear parts box with removable lid for safe storage and handling of these very small parts
assembly of the kit.

The successful use of these parts will require very good modeling skills and they are recommended for adv
experienced modelers only.

These parts are designed and intended for the 1:12 scale Tamiya Williams FW14B kit. There is no car kit i
this auction.
