    The Rotaract Club of BMSCE inducts around 500 members each year. The Club Services avenue is responsible for organizing events to retain members and ensure they have fun. This year, they started with a book collection drive in August 2019 and held a book exchange event that saw 500 students participate.     ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-20

    AVENUE REPORT
    CLUB SERVICES

    “Purpose is the reason you journey. Passion is the fire that lights the way.”
    The Rotaract Club of BMSCE is one of the most active clubs of the college that induct almost 500
    members every year. The club got its immense popularity not only due to the purpose it serves but
    also because it provides a platform to make memories and cherish them. The avenue of the Club
    Services takes a huge part in making this possible for the club. It’s the avenue that conduct events to
    retain its members and make sure they have fun. The avenue has been successful so far and has got
    tremendous responses for all its events.

    This year, the avenue started with Record Book Collection on August, 2019. We have had a decent
    response for this event and the event was successfully completed. Then we had our most awaited
    event of the semester, The Book Exchange. This event has got huge response with nearly 500
    students taking part in the event. To sparkle a light among the freshly inducted members of the club,
    we also conducted Orientation where we briefly explained them about the club and also conducted
    few games like Blind Convo, etc. Soon, we had PU book collection drive (in collaboration with an
    NGO- Ramose Foundation) wherein we collected around 300 books. In collaboration with the
    Community Services of our club, we also conducted Diya Painting in an orphanage. Along with
    these, we conducted 4 DFC (Discuss for Change) sessions, our most awaited flagship event. These
    sessions are conducted every Saturday. Out of the 4 sessions conducted, 1 session was conducted in
    collaboration with an NGO – Sa Mudra Foundation. We also conduct Mega Trek every year which is
    one of the most popular annual events of our college. Recently, we had conducted RotaMeet – 2020
    with all of our club members wherein we had singing competitions and games that were also
    conducted to boost the interaction between the club members. This event has got very positive
    feedback and also saw immense participation with around 125 members.

    The Avenue of Club Services of RaC BMSCE is, thus, one of the pillars that holds the club to be
    successful throughout the year. Around 10 events were conducted from this avenue amongst which
    many were successful and helped in the retention of the club members.
