SETTING GOALS FOR SUCCESS

REFLECTION
Rene Descartes claimed that we cannot really rely on our senses because our sense perception can often deceive us. Then he said
“Cogito, ergo Sum” which translated as “I think, therefore I am” or “I doubt, therefore, I exist.” The discovery of the cogito
revolutionizes the way we view ourselves and the world around us. The primary condition according to Descartes, is Human
Rationality. Simply put, we need reason to live fully the demands, challenges and call of our religion and we need reason in
order to build and live out our peace because there will never be certain in this world as long as it passes our senses.
I can relate to the idea of Rene Descartes because there’s my attitude that you can only convince me to do something if you
have the reason which satisfy myself and convince me to do so.
Multiple Selves are the capacities we carry within us from multiple relationships. These are not ‘discovered’ but ‘created’ in our
relationships with other people.
I can say that I am a consistent round character who change its attitude or treatment depending on the people or situation I
deal with. For example, I’m dealing with professionals, so I act and talk like a professional or when I’m dealing with kids, so I
act as a jolly person.

Inner Beauty & External Beauty these are the two types of beauty, the inner beauty which refers to the inner qualities of a person
and the external beauty which refers to the physical characteristics of the person. External beauty focuses on the physical
features of the body commonly defined as “a combination of qualities, which includes shape, color, or form that pleases the
aesthetic senses, especially the sight.”
We all know that we are living in a judgmental society, so we have this attitude that we always prefer the physical
appearance of the person than its inner qualities.

Democracy is literally, ruled by the people and described as the awareness and understanding that the self and community
are both the foundation of democratic practice and the result of it.
I am in favored in Democratic Society because it empowers the people which they can address their concerns in the
community as well as in the government and also democracy serves as the foundation to have a society that possesses unity,
fair justice and equity.
Digital Self is the persona you use when you’re online. Developing Your Identity With Online Content And Social Media, we all know
that our online behavior makes a huge impact on how we present our digital self, so as a person who always use social media
it is important to always use social media with care and consistency because there is possibility that our personality can be
ruined in just one click of a computer mouse.

Setting Goals for Success as Fitzhugh Dodson said “Without goal, and plans to reach them, you are like a ship that has set sail with
no destination.” So if you want to succeed, you need to set goals. Without goals you lack focus and direction.
For me, it is important to set a SMART Goals which means to have a Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time Bound
because in these way we can make a smooth flow of our plans for our future.
