1. PREFACE
This manual is designed to provide you with important service information. Be sure to read the
safety precautions prior to servicing the unit.

1.1 Safety Precautions

1 When servicing, set the POWER of the CONTROL PANEL to OFF and unplug the power
cord.
2 Observe the original lead dress. If a short circuit is found, replace all parts which have been
overheated or damaged by the short circuit.
3 After servicing, make an insulation resistance test to prevent the customer’s exposure to
shock hazards.

1.2 Insulation Resistance Test

1 Unplug the power cord and connect a jumper between 2 pins (black & white).
2 The grounding conductor (green or green & yellow) is to be open.
3 Measure the resistance value with an ohm meter between the jumper lead and each exposed
metallic part on the equipment at all MODES (except POWER OFF).
4 The value should be over 1 MΩ.

Operation Instructions:

 Choose a suitable location for your evaporative air cooler.

 Your product may be operated by the manual controls located on the top cover of the unit or
by the remote control.

For Room Cooling:

For the best performance when use this product as an Evaporative Air Cooler with cooling effect,
it should be filled with water, and ice if available. The unit should be positioned in a location that
will create a 'flow through' air effect. The greatest cooling effect will be felt if the unit is operated
in a partly opened doorway (within house) or window with the cooled air directed into the room. It
is also important to have a door or window partly opened away from the air cooler, in order to
create the 'flow through' effect. If this arrangement cannot be met the evaporative cooling effect
will be inefficient.

 Remove the plug from the mains socket.

 Open the top cover and pour clean water or ice into tank or top ice compartment. You may
also pour clean water or ice into water tank or top ice compartment from water pouring cover
located at the side of the unit. DO NOT overfill the tank. This will cause water entrainment.
 Then connect the power cord to an electrical outlet. The unit will be on stand-by mode.
 Press the POWER button and the fan will start at medium speed, after few seconds, it will
switch to LOW speed.
 To turn the product OFF press the POWER button again. If you do not intend to use the
product for some time unplug the unit from electrical outlet.
 Press the SPEED button to increase or decrease the speed.
 Press the MODE button to select the COOL mode, indicated by the LED. The full effect of
this mode will begin after about 3 minutes.
 Once the water in the tank has been reached or below the minimum level of the water level
indicator, turns the product OFF and refill the tank to the maximum level of the water level
indicator.
 To empty the water tank turn your product off at the POWER button and remove the unit from
electrical outlet. Twist the cap off of the drainage tube and the water will drain from the water
tank.

NOTE: Make sure you have the cooler outside to drain water, so it will not damage the
indoor floors

For Room Humidification:

 Remove the plug from the mains socket.

 Open the top cover and pour clean water or ice into tank or ice compartment. You may also
pour clean water or ice into tank or top ice compartment from water pouring cover located at
the side of the unit.

The fan will continue to run for
approximately 3 minutes to extend the life of the working parts. If you do not intend to use
the product for some time remove the cord from the electrical outlet.
 Press MODE button for cooling with COOL LED. DO NOT run the unit in COOL mode
without water. This will damage the pump in the unit.

Extra Humidification:

 Humidifier located under the top cover.

 Turn the humidifier to anti-clockwise for additional humidification to low
and high humidification.
 Turn clockwise to minimize the water flow.

Louvers Operation:

 Press the SWING button to start the louvers moving from side to side. This will improve the
distribution of the cooled air in the room. To stop the louvers press the SWING button again.
 You can change the air direction (up or down) by manually adjusting the horizontal louvers.

Timer Operation:

 The Timer can be used to switch the product off after a selected number of hours.
 Select the desired operating mode.
 Press the TIMER button once and the unit will switch off after 1 hour. 1 hour running time is
added every time the button is pressed, the maximum timer setting is 8 hours.

1.8 CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

WARNING: Before you clean the unit, switch the product off, remove the plug from the
power socket and wait until the product has cooled down.

Cleaning:
 Dampen a clean & soft cloth with water and use on the exterior of the unit to remove any dust
or dirt.
 Never use detergents, solvents, corrosive elements, or any other chemicals to clean the
appliance.
 When not in use, store the appliance in a dry location out of the sunlight.

Filter / Fan:
 The appliance is supplied with honeycomb media and dust filter.
 The frequency for cleaning depends on local air and water conditions. For instances, in
areas where mineral content of the water is high, deposits may build up in the honeycomb
media, restricting air flow. In this case, it is recommended to clean the honeycomb media
every two months.
 Dust filter net can be cleaned once a week.
 Simply wash the honeycomb media and dust filter with clean water.
 For best results, allow the filter to dry after each use by turning off the pump 15 minutes
before turning off the blower / fan motor.

TIP: Regular draining (once a week during use) will decrease the water mineral build up
and extend the life of the filter / pad. Dampen a cloth with water and wipe away any water
mineral deposits that appear inside or outside the appliance to extend the serviceable life
and clean appearance of the appliance.

Lubrication:
 The blower / fan, pump and louver oscillation motors DO NOT require any lubrication.

Water Tank:
 To clean the water tank:
 Move the appliance to a location where the water can be drained.
 Remove the drain plug located at the bottom of the unit.
 Once the water tank is empty, replace the drain plug, refill the unit and drain it again.
 Repeat this cleaning weekly to reduce water mineral build up.
 Replace the drain plug, refill with fresh water through the side water fill door, and the cooler is
ready for use.
