a. Surface tension
b. Capillarity
c. Vapour pressure
d. Cavitation

2. Define the meaning of and state SI units for:

a. mass
b. volume
c. density
d. relative density
e. specific volume

2. Viscosity:

a. Explain the meaning by viscosity.

b. Give two examples for high viscous liquids and low viscous liquids.
c. Name two types of viscosity and state the S.I. unit for each of them. State the
difference between them
d. Explain the effect of viscosity in gas due to temperature and pressure.
e. Explain the effect of viscosity in fluid due to temperature and pressure.

4. A closed steel tank of weight 5.5kN has dimensions of 1.3 m width x 2.5 m length x
4.0 m height and contains oil of relative density of 0.9 to a depth of five ninth of the
height. The tank is supported by four pads such that the load is equally distributed.
