Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION
This user manual will walk you through the process of external user registration, company
registration as well as submitting an application by providing step-by-step instructions with
illustrations to help you understand each step.

1. Click ‘Forgot Password?’ and Forgot your password? popup will be displayed.
2. Enter your email address (must use email that have been registered).

A new registered InvestMalaysia user will be greet with a message for company
registration.
System will redirect to Company Validation page. User are required to insert company
details for InvestMalaysia to check whether the company profile exist in MIDA.
For new company, user need to fill-in and submit the company details.

1. Enter the exact details for Company Name (This includes symbol characters (.)
and abbreviations (Sdn Bhd));
2. Registration Type;
3. Company Registration No.; and
4. Click ‘Validate Company’ button.

5. If the company is registered with MIDA, system will display above message.
6. If the company is not registered with MIDA, system will display above message.
7. Click ‘Register’ button to register new company.

19. System will prompt above message. Once the result is ready, user will receive an
email.

2. Button An item that allow user to click and it will respond according
to it’s purpose; usually denoted as the button’s name.
3. Radio button A selection features that allows the user to choose only ONE
selection from the data sets. Usually it’s round-shaped.

1. SPM Application:
a. SPM Manufacturers in the Principal Customs Area (PCA)
b. SPM Companies Engaged In a Hotel Business
c. SPM Haulage Operators
d. SPM Aerospace Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO)
2. Applicant can create new application and save as draft.
3. Sign (by authorised user) and Submit application to MIDA. The applicant shall
receive notification email.

4. MIDA may return the application to the applicant if the application form is
incomplete.
6. If the application is complete MIDA will send you an acknowledgment email and
accepted for processing.

This facility is to register/buy digital certificate in order for user to submit digitally sign
on the application. This certificate can be reused any application since only one
time registration is required for two (2) years.
If user has already registered/buy certificate, please skip this chapter.
Before proceed to register certificate please scan/save three(3) document in pdf format
and keep in your PC/Laptop. These document are needed during the registration of
certificate.

i. Click Create New Account link to start creating new account /registration. If
user already have account please proceed to login.
ii. You will get the screen page below.

1. STEP BY STEP
1.1 CREATE AN ACCOUNT
The user must create their username and password for the first time in
order to get the account activate. Please follow below steps:
i. Click Create New Account at login page.
ii. Enter your details such as Username, Password, Email, Company
Name, Company Registration Number, Registered Name,
Telephone and Address.
iii. Click Company radio button at Account Type. You may see as shown

below:
vii. Enter your Username, Password & Captcha into your Login
Information.
viii. Click Login button to proceed to the next level. If user forgets the
password please refer next page.

i. Click on Forgot Your Password then enter your email address (must use
email that has been registered).
ii. Click Reset button.
iii. An email notification will be sent to your email address.

ii. Click Enter button at Digital Certificate Service box. You will see the
information as shown below.

iii. Select the Quantity. The Total Amount (RM) will be automatically displayed.
Then click Submit button.

1.6 CONFIRMATION
i. On this page, the system will redisplay your list of payment and you are
required to select the bank for Internet Banking as shown below.
ii. You may enter your email address to receive transaction status.
iii. Please read all information stated under Payment Method FPX.
iv. Select your bank from Bank Name list.
v. Click PROCEED button to start online banking. You will see the online banking
page. E.g. (CIMB clicks, Maybank2u, etc.)
If you wish to discontinue the payment, click MIDA logo and you will be redirected to page for
Type of Payment.

ii. If you wish to print or to save in pdf format, click PRINT button.
iii. If you wish to return to page for Type of Payment, click HOME button.
iv. You may retrieve your previous MIDA Payment Receipt by clicking My
Payment link >click MIDA Transaction ID record link as shown below.

1.9 FAQ’s
The first time you login to access MIDA Payment Channel Login Page, you
will need to do the following:

Login Issues
Some general things to note if you are having trouble logging in
1. Incorrect Username or Password.
Make sure you're using the correct Username and Password. Refer to the
email sent to you during the creation of the Username and Password.
2. I've forgotten my password or I can't remember my Username or Password.
It happens! In order to retrieve both, you will need to take below steps.
i. First, request your password by clicking Forgot Password on the login
page.
ii. We will resend the Username and Password to the email address for the
account created.
iii. If you're not sure about your email address created under MIDA Payment
Channel. Then, please call MIDA Customer Service at 03-22673633.
3. How can I tell if I'm logged in?
If you are logged in, you will see page with your registered name being

displayed at top right corner of the page. If you are not logged in, you will see
the Login Page.
4. Still having problems logging in?
Send an email to sales_finance@mida.gov.my and include your company
name and contact details.

If MIDA detect any problem upon the request of certificate such as missing document,
user will get email as below, so the approval will pending until user re-upload again all the
document to the system.
1. Just click on the link provided inside the email. Then it will open the page. Login
using username and password created during register certificate.

5. Click on finish button and came out popup, tick the box and click submit.

Once MIDA AP approved the certificate, user will get approval email as below.

1. Click on the link inside the email to set PIN and Answer of the certificate.
2. System will show page as below

3. We advised user to put PIN number in small letter case and something that easy to
remember. PIN must be minimum 8 character mix with at least one number,
example ‘company1’.
4. User must select three different questions and then put the answer of each
question. Answers can be anything example ‘company1’. We advised the answer
for all question put same answer as sample image above. This will help user to
easily remember.
5. Finally click submit button and now user can submit any import duty application

During submission of duty exemption application, if user forget the PIN & Answer can be
reset by following below step.
1. Go to https://1crs.digicert.com.my and click on Login. Put the username and
password (this username and password are created during register certificate, if
user forgot the username or password then click on the link forgot username or
password.

5. Once user got the email reset PIN&Answer, just click on the link given inside the
email.

6. Then came out the page to reset as below, put the new PIN and set new answer
for all the questions, then click submit. How to set PIN& Answer please refer
guideline at 3.2.5.

4.1 Dashboard
1. Enter your username (must use email that have been registered);

4. Task Application shall display a task list that needs to take action by the
applicant.
Total in Progress Application shall display in progress application list.
Total Completed Application shall display completed application list.
5. Task List shall display a task list that needs to take action by the applicant.

13. Complete the payment & submit the application. System will display the application
is being processed.

15. At homepage, go to Certificate > View Status. You may check the certificate
details and status here.

will be auto-populated in the application form automatically. Any future changes of
the company details, shall be done at this page.

This system provides the facility for you to print the application form either before/after you
submit the application.
2. Web browser will save and display/preview the application form. You may
review and correct the application form before submitting to MIDA.
*Please take note that this features is only for preview purpose only. If you
have any changes, please amend in the online application form. Changes made
from this softcopy will not be reflected in the system. Only changes made in the
online form will be entertained by MIDA Officer.
If the application has been returned by MIDA, system will email to user as sample below:
2. Click the [Application No.] to open the application and do the necessary
changes as mentioned in the email.
3. To ensure you will update/amend the right section, check the ‘bubble’ icon;
which mean that particular section has a comment made by MIDA Officer.
Once your application is complete and MIDA Officer is satisfied with all the information, it
will be accepted for processing. You will be notified with an email as below:
Once the application has been processed and approved by MIDA, you will receive email
notification.
1. Login to https://investmalaysia.mida.gov.my.

24. Make sure the image and phrase are correct as you pick during 1CRS registration.
If either/both are incorrect, click [Back] button. You probably insert the wrong
username.
