Does it make me pretty?

In the 20th century, we have a new motto in life, it is the life motto: “Kilay is Life”
The motto originated when Bretman Rock first hit his fame in Facebook where it was shown he
was doing a tutorial on how to put make up, his kilay was so thick, that he embraced it and made
fun of it, making it his trade mark before he was an icon. Many beauty guru then pop out of
nowhere, making the beauty industry a hit. But do you know why we wear make up?

Is it because of seduction or for camouflage?

Women who are anxious and insecure tend to use make up to appear less noticeable meanwhile
some women who want to be noticeably more attractive tend to use make up to be more
confident, sociable and assertive.
Women have it drilled into them from a young age that to be successful in everything, they need
to be pretty or presentable. According to Science of People attractive people are treated more
favorably in every area of life, from dating to jobs, to criminal trials.

Wearing make up can boosts one’s confidence because of the phrase “fake it till you make it.”
Cosmetics will help you and feel you that you are in control of the scene. I for one imagine
myself if I choose to be barefaced or will wear make up, I’ll wear make up to be more self-
confident and sociable.

Make up does more than alter a woman’s attractiveness, it also plays a role in her ability to form
a new relationship. Straight men look at a woman’s make up to help her determine her
attractiveness, while straight women use make up to help judge women’s personality.

Some women rate other women who wore make up, it shows that they are more dominant and
powerful to have successful careers. on the other hand, women who are jealous of other women
for wearing make up, perceive them as more promiscuous. This is particularly the case when
women wear bold, sexy make up.

Men tend to have varied opinions of women based on how much make up she wear and how
attractive that makes her appear.

Make up is important, but many women make the mistake of wearing so much that they lose its’s
benefit. When make up is not overdone, it makes women appear more likable, trustworthy and
competent.
Always be mindful of the impression you want to make and focus on using make up to enhance
your natural beauty.
