Assalamualaikum and hi to everyone.

We hope that this info pack will indeed reach you guys in the best of
health and iman, insyaAllah.

Though this is quite late, we assure you guys that this is the real deal!
Keep on reading as more details of the coming event are released for
the first time appropriately to you, THE CHOSEN ONE, below are the
particulars:
1.0 Date:

16-18th October 2009.

Programme starts at 6.00 pm 16th October and will end on 18th October at 12.00 pm.

2.0 Participation

All freshers are invited to participate, both Muslims and non Muslims. Both
undergraduate students or postgraduate students. All around UK.

3.0 Fee:

1) members of LUMSOC, SMSA and NMS: GBP22

Non members: GBP25

 2) Fee includes food, accommodation or tents rental, and other expenses.

4.0 Registration:

1) Please register online at www.fresherscamp.com.

2) You will be asked to pay GBP15 as deposit to secure your place in Freshers’
Camp as well, to avoid any last minute cancellation of participation. Deposit
payment can be made via internet transfer or by paying cash to our university
representatives.

3) Please pay the rest of your fee (members: GBP7, non-members: GBP10) by
cash at the registration desk on 16th October 2009.

4) Registration desk will be opened at 5.00pm 16th October 2009. Please consult us
if you will be arriving earlier or later.

Sherwood Lodge: Parker Lodge:
“Each of our camping areas is close to a water supply and our toilet and washing
facilities (including free hot showers) are not far from any of the campsites. Where
possible we try to allocate particular sites if these have been requested in advance.

Alter fires for cooking on, or sitting round at night, can be situated on most sites.

Tents and camp equipment are available for hire on request.”

6.0 How to get there?

1) By train: Please book the ticket in advance.

National rail (http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/) to Retford Rail Station (19 mins driving to

the Scout Camp)

insyaAllah, we’ll try our best to pick you up at the train station.

2) By bus:
Route 1 – everyday service

a) bus Sherwood Arrow: Nottingham Victoria Bus Station (bay 9)- Ollerton,
Church Circle (SE-bound) I hour 5mins

b) Walk for 26 mins. Reach the destination.

Route 2 – no service on Sunday for bus Pronto

a)Bus Pronto (Trent Barton) : Nottingham, Victoria Bus Station (Bay 2) -

Mansfield, Bus Station (Bay 13) 45 mins

Please let us know if you have any problem to get into the place. We will help you as
best as we can. 

Transportation of the LUMSOC, SMSA and NMS will be supported by the society.
Please let your society aware about this.

7.0 Accomodation:

Brothers- will be living in tents provided. Two persons in one tent. There will be campfire
to keep you warm.

Sisters – will stay in the hall provided. No specific room allocation. However, please
bring along your sleeping bag.

11.0 Food :

1) We are very concerned if you have any food allergy. Please let us know if you
have any problem regarding food.

4) All foods are cooked by expert seniors and no worries, food are enough for all.

5) All foods provided are halal. No beef will be served throughout the program.
12.0 Things you have to bring:

1) Tafsir Al-Quran and al-Mathurat for Muslims

2) Notebook and pen

3) Sleeping bag
4) Sleeping mat (It is advisable to bring fleece or other thick
material/jacket as well to keep you warm. Especially for
those who will sleep in tent!)

 KHUF.
(sebagai rukhsah/keringanan esp. sbg musafir & kerana kekangan sinki di hall)

a) Apakah?
- Khuf = stoking yg diperbuat drpd kulit digunakan dlm perjalanan jauh pada zaman Nabi Muhammad
SAW.
- Stoking drpd bulu & kapas mcm mana?
- Hukum: Harus tapi stoking perlu tebal & boleh dibwa jauh, menutup buku lali.
b) Kenapakah?
- memudahkan kita sbg Muslim melakukan ibadah solat.
c) Bagaimanakah?
- Bagi mereka yg memakai khuf, mereka boleh menyapu air ke atas khuf tanpa membukanya untuk
membasuh kaki ketika wudhuk tetapi dgn syarat2 yg ditetapkan. (kiranya tak perlu buka stoking kaki
stp kali ambil air sembahyang)
d) Syarat2 nya?
- 1. Perlu memakai khuf selepas mengambil wuduk dgn sempurna
(yakni basuh kaki dgn air ketika ambil wuduk. )
(selepas bewuduk baru pakai khuf, dan jika selepas itu wuduk anda terbatal, untuk mengambil wuduk yg
baru, tidak perlu anda membasuk kaki dgn air lagi, cukup sekadar menyapu di atas khuf saja~)
- 2. Khuf perlu menutup kaki yg dibasuh semasa wuduk (iaitu menutup kaki sampai ke buku lali)
- 3. Khuf perlu menghalang air daripada menembusinya.
- 4. Khuf perlu diperbuat drpd kulit yg suci dan melalui proses penyucian. (kulit yg najis tidak boleh
dibawa solat kan..)
e) Tempoh menyapu ke atas khuf?
- utk musafir = 3 hari 3 malam. (lepas tu, kena buka khuf, dan wuduk seperti biasa, dan jika ingin, boleh
pakai khuf semula untuk tempoh yg baru= mcm renew tempoh pakai khuf)
f) Batalnya khuf jika…. ?
- Anda membuka khuf. (kalau buka, kena ambil wuduk dgn air baru)
- Habis tempoh penyapuan (3 hari 3 malam)
- Berlaku hadas besar (kena buka khuf utk mandi wajib !)
-KHUF- ambil wuduk tanpa membasuh kaki dgn air!~ INDAHnya ISLAM!-
