Listening Assignment 2: From week 10 to week 14

 Each week students will listen to a part of a personally chosen audio book (10-15 minutes) / watch
an episode of a film series (20-30 minutes) at home.
 Students then are requested to compose a reflective journal in form of narration/ summary or
review of interesting details/favorite characters.
 In the next class, the teacher can either randomly choose 2-3 students to share their personal
reflection or simply ask all students to submit the hard copy of their reflective writing for homework
records.
 This assignment tends to help students build a habit of practicing listening to authentic English, long-
term listening, unfamiliar accents or dialects, expand cultural knowledge as well as encourage active
listening and reflective thinking in students.

 Students of low levels (class 4-6) are suggested to watch short animated movie. Suggested sources:
