DIALOGUE
PERSON A: Excuse me, can you help me?
PERSON B: Yes, sure!
PERSON A: I think I’m lost. Where are we?
PERSON B: We are in the Venezuela Avenue.
PERSON A: Oh my God!
PERSON B: Where do you want to go?
PERSON A: I need to stay in the theater Juares at 4:00 p.m. My niece has a ballet
presentation. She asked me to go see her very excited. I’m not from this city. I’m
from Puerto Ayacucho and I have been here very rarely. I don’t know anything
about Barquisimeto. It’s a big city. But I must see my little niece. It’ 3:30 p.m.
PERSON B: Oh, cool. My daughter is a dancer and always has a presentation at the
theater. You have to be punctual because they are very strict with the time.
PERSON A: Oh, my Sweet Jesus!
PERSON B: Don´t worry, ma’am! I’ll help you.
PERSON A: Thanks the Lord!
PERSON B: We are in the Venezuela Avenue with Twenty-Two 22 Street. The
theater Juares is in Nineteen Avenue with Twenty-Five Street, all right?
PERSON A: I think so.
PERSON B: It’s really easy to get there. Go straight for this street until the Nineteen
Avenue. You have to walk seven blocks, okay?
PERSON A: Okay.
PERSON B: You will reach an ice cream shop when you are in the Nineteen Avenue.
Then, turn right and walk three blocks, and you will see the theater Juares. In front
of the theater there is a bakery. The theater is between the government palace and
an optical store. Did you understand me?
PERSON A: Yes, I did! Thank you so much, sir! I don’t know what I would have
done without your help!
PERSON B: You’re welcome, ma’am. I hope you enjoy the presentation of your
niece, and I also hope you enjoy your stay in Barquisimeto.
PERSON A: I hope that too. And I hope don’t follow me losing.
