I want to bring to your notice about our uniform. I know that the school uniform has a
purpose of enforcing discipline, but the uniform that we wear is uncomfortable – both
One of the issues is we sweat a lot in the long-sleeved uniform even in the air-
or pullover. For the female PE uniform, their underclothing is visible when they wear the
short-pleated skirt.
Yet it is very costly. The leather shoes that we are required to wear is expensive and we
also need to buy another set of uniform when we reach year 12.
As you will realize, the uniforms are very uncomfortable and costly, hence a

Me: “So you’re going to talk with the headteacher today about our school uniform?”
Kim: “Yep, I’m waiting for him right now. Why though?”
Me: “Nothing, I was just about to ask you to play at the arcade after school. Anyway,
what’s the problem with our uniform? I don’t really think there are any problem.”

We are from Tasmanian Conservation Trust, asking you for a help to save those
Tasmanian penguins, or also known as fairy penguins. These poor creatures must swim
through the treacherous sea every day, hunting their food on a polluted site.
Their hunting site is polluted by oil dumping activities, which the life-threatening oil could
clog their feathers. So, we have a solution – we give them a jumper made of knitted
wool. It releases heat when in contact with water and prevents them from ingesting
If you wanted to help these poor creatures, you can do it from your home. It is as easy
as counting one to three – get the wool, knit the wool, and send it to our headquarters at
Brisbane. The jumpers must be 40cm long but the color is up to you.
By donating a jumper, you are assuring the future of those fairy penguins. So, make a
