Hydraulic and Transmission Oil Coolers Remove and Install
2. Stop engine. Release pressure in hydraulic system. See Hydraulic Circuit Pressure Release . (Group 9025-25.)
3.
CAUTION:
Explosive release of fluids from pressurized cooling system can cause serious burns.
Stop engine. Remove filler cap only when cool enough to touch with bare hands. Slowly loosen cap to relieve
pressure before removing completely.
When radiator cap cool enough to touch with bare hand, loosen to release coolant pressure.

LEGEND:
Disconnect hydraulic hoses (1 and 4) on upper hydraulic cooler. Cap and plug all openings.
9. Clamp off and disconnect coolant hoses (5 and 6) on upper hydraulic cooler. Cap and plug all openings.
10. Loosen mounting plate cap screws (7) and unhook mounting plate from cap screws.
4. IMPORTANT:
To prevent damage to oil cooler, use backup wrench on oil cooler fittings when installing hoses.
9. Check hydraulic and coolant levels. See Check Hydraulic Reservoir Oil Level and see Check Coolant Level . (Operator's Manual.)

Disconnect transmission hoses (2) from transmission cooler (9). Cap and plug all openings.
5. Clamp off and disconnect coolant hoses (5 and 6) from transmission cooler. Cap and plug all openings.
6. Loosen cap screws (7) on mounting plate and unhook mounting plate from cap screws.
LEGEND:
11. Hook mounting plate back on cap screws. Tighten cap screws.
13. IMPORTANT:
To prevent damage to oil cooler, use backup wrench on oil cooler fittings when installing hoses.
14. IMPORTANT:
To prevent damage to transmission oil cooler, hydraulic hoses must have a minimum of 12 mm (0.5 in.) clearance from cooler
fittings.
Check clearance between hydraulic pump hose (10) and oil cooler fittings on hose (2). Adjust hydraulic pump hose as required to meet
specification.
15. Check transmission and coolant levels. See Check Transmission Oil Level and see Check Coolant Level . (Operator's Manual.)
