L Series BASE MOUNTED, OIL LUBRICATED UNITS
The L Series base mounted, oil lubricated
air compressor is engineered to pressurize dry
systems according to NFPA 13. Automatic operation
of the L Series compressor is obtained by using the
AMD-2 UL/FM Approved air maintenance device.

LT Series TANK MOUNTED, OIL LUBRICATED UNITS

LT Series tank mounted, oil lubricated air compressors
are integrally mounted on ASME air receivers to offer further ease
of installation and versatility.
Tank mounted units should always be used when an
accelerator is required on the sprinkler system.
Multiple dry valves may be supplied from a single tank
mounted air compressor when used with an AMD-1, UL / FM
Approved air maintenance device.

Series RISER & TANK MOUNTED OIL-LLESS UNITS
General’s oil less riser mounted air compressors
are fully automatic, and virtually maintenance free. OL Series
compressors are designed to be easily installed either vertically or
horizontally to the riser. Units can also be installed as air
maintenance compressors - consult factory for details.
All units are UL 2125 Listed. Standard motors
are single phase.

Where Moisture Removal is Essential
General’s DAP Series Dry Air PacTM is an FM Approved, twin tower
regenerative dryer / compressor package. This turnkey system is designed to
provide the sprinkler system with moisture free air to a -40oF Dew Point. The air
compressor is designed to fill the sprinkler system in accordance with NFPA 13
standards, as well as provide the higher pressure needed to allow the twin tower
regenerative dryer to function properly.
Prior to entering the regenerative air dryer, an air cooled aftercooler cools
the compressor’s hot discharge air to a maximum 100oF. A coalescing
prefilter with differential pressure gauge removes oil vapor and other
contaminants that can destroy the desiccant in the dryer towers.
A combination particulate filter and regulator prevents downstream
migration of desiccant dust while regulating air pressure to the
sprinkler system.
All components are pre-piped, pre-tested, and pre-wired
for ease of mechanical and electrical installation on site. Each
unit includes a UL Listed, FM Approved Air Maintenance
Device. -100oF dew point is achievable - consult factory for
details.
Applications for the Dry Air PacTM include, but
are not limited to Freezer Rooms, Cold Storage
Warehouses, Attic Spaces and Parking Garages.

Important Note:
The FM Approval on the Dry Air PacTM eliminates the requirement to connect
the air intake to the freezer room. NFPA 13 exempts any approved packages from this
costly requirement. General’s Dry Air Pac is the only package on the market that meets
this exemption.

General Air Products, Inc. warrants its products to be free of defects in material and
workmanship under normal use and service for 12 months from date of purchase. Our warranty
applies only when such defective parts are returned to us, or our Authorized Service Depot,
transportation prepaid, and subject to our inspection and approval.

Liability is limited to repair or replacement of material found defective, free of charge, F.O.B.
our plant. Motors and pumps are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty only and should be
returned by the customer to their authorized station for service. Unauthorized repairs or replacements
will not be subject to factory warranty. This warranty is in lieu of all other warrants, expressed or
implied.
