Painting is an expression of emotions and ideas, a means for exploring and

appreciating formal elements as mimesis or representation. It gives us a way to be
creative and express ourselves through a combination of colors. It enables in
becoming more thoughtful and well-rounded human beings. With this backdrop,
National Painting Competition for all HPCL employees & their spouse was
organized in 2018 which saw enthusiastic participation from all segments of
employees with more than 180 entries submitted for evaluation. Top 50 entries were
shortlisted by the judging committee & were rewarded in a special ceremony in the
presence of our respected C&MD. Team Reboot@35+ is pleased to launch the 2nd
edition of National Painting Competition 2019 for all employees and their spouse.

I encourage all the painting enthusiasts of HPCL to utilize this opportunity to

showcase their work at this grand stage and create an everlasting memory in our
life.

Competition
HPCL invites employees & their spouse of all

ages, backgrounds and experience levels to

share their best paintings and win exciting

awards. Each painting has its own story. Paint

these emotions on the canvas and express your

story. Participants can create paintings on the

below four themes.

THEMES
HERITAGE
Depiction of our heritage & the elements associated with it.

SEASCAPE
Painting depicting beautiful sea shores at various points
in time.

FAITH
Paintings that depict the belief and faith of communities
& society.

STILL LIFE
Painting using visual language of shape, form, color and
line to create a composition to depict immortal objects.
PAINTING MEDIUM:
Entries on the above themes can be created in following mediums.
1. Water Color (using water colors)
2. Oil Painting (using oil paint)
3. Acrylic Painting (using acrylic paint)

4. Pastel Color Painting (using pastel sticks)

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

This competition is open for all regular and serving HPCL employees and their spouses only

TIMELINE:
Start Date – 1st October 2019

Last date – 30th October 2019

Entries submitted post the last date will not be accepted and nomination shall stand cancelled.

SIZE OF PAINTING:
Actual size of the painting should be one of the two sizes provided below. Paintings submitted

in any other size apart from the below mentioned sizes shall not be accepted.

a) 24 inch (height) x 24 inch (width)

b) 24 inch (height) x 30 inch (width)

HOW TO SUBMIT
Step 1:
Employees are required to create paintings on the above four theme(s). Once the painting is
complete, employee has to click a high resolution digital image (5 MB or more) of the painting and
submit the image to Shri. Ankur Parey – Asst. Manager HR, Pune Retail RO (Email –
ankur.parey@hpcl.in).

The image has to be submitted along with the below details:

a) Employee Name
b) Employee Number
c) Title
d) Theme
e) Painting Medium
f) Story depicting the painting (3-4 lines)

Step 2: “Work Selection”

Submitted digital images will be evaluated by an external Jury and top 50 works/entries shall be
shortlisted for the final round. Details of the top 50 entries will be published on the portal.

Step 3: “Award Selection”

Top 50 paintings in the physical form are then required to be submitted by the respective employees
to Shri. Michael Khandagale – Chief Manager HR, Hindustan Bhawan. The top 50 paintings shall be
awarded a token amount of Rs. 2500 each for qualifying for the final round. These entries will be
judged by an external Jury and top 3 winners will be awarded.
AWARD CATEGORIES:
Judges will award top three winners under each theme for the below categories:
i. Reboot@35+ – Employees covered under the Reboot@35+ initiative (Age group
35-55 years)
ii. All – All HPCL employees (other than Reboot@35+ : All age group)

The winners will be awarded attractive prizes in a special ceremony. Winning entries will
also feature in HP News Magazine.

SUBMISSION RULES AND GUIDELINES:

1) Employees/Spouses can participate in all four (4) themes. Maximum one (1)
painting per theme can be submitted by a participant.
2) You are the sole owner and author of each Entry & You have the right to make your
entry available to the Competition and also to which the entrant holds all applicable
rights.
3) Works that have won prizes in other contests or that have been submitted to other
contests currently underway, including similar works, are not eligible. Works that are
entered in other competitions after submitting to this contest will be deemed as those
having been submitted to other contests currently underway.
4) Paintings must be created in physical media (Oil/ Watercolor/ Pastel/ Acrylic etc.)
5) The painting should be original and should be signed by the employee/spouse.
Signature should be clearly visible.
6) Employees can choose to frame the paintings before submission. Paintings without
any frames will also be accepted.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS :

1. Reboot@35+ reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and remove any entry that
does not comply with the following requirements, even after the entry is submitted. You
warrant and represent, in respect of each entry submitted by you, as follows:
(a) You are the sole owner and author of each Entry.
(b) You have the right to make your entry available to the organizers.
(c) Each Entry does not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive,
harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic
or profane content.
(d) Each Entry does not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct
which would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise
violate any law.
(e) Each Entry does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any
other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person’s rights
of privacy or publicity.
2. Reboot@35+ recognizes the creator of the painting, retain full ownership of the copyright in
each Entry.
3. All entrants understand that any entry submitted may be used by Reboot@35+ for marketing
and promotional purposes. You hereby grant Reboot@35+ a non-exclusive, irrevocable license
in each entry in all media for any use connected to the promotion of the Corporation. The top
50 entries shall become a property of the Corporation.
4. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility for protecting any Entry against image misuse
by any third party. Reboot@35+ assume no responsibility and is not liable for any image
misuse.
