Windows Requirements
A PC with at least a 1.0 GHz processor and at least 1 GB of RAM. 2.0 GHz processor (2 GB of RAM
recommended),
The Windows XP or Windows Vista/Windows 7 operating system. (Windows Vista/7 recommended),
Compiled Desktop Windows applications run on XP or Vista/Windows 7. Compiled Web applications run best
on modern open-standards browsers. Any users who have Internet Explorer 6.x installed must first upgrade or
install the Google Chrome Frame extension in order to run Web apps within IE 6. For more information about
the Chrome Frame extension to IE, see http://code.google.com/chrome/chromeframe/. They can also upgrade to
a more modern version of IE or switch to Firefox, Chrome, or Safari.
Linux Requirements
To run the Real Studio IDE on Linux, you must have the following:
A PC with at least a 1.0 GHz processor and at least 1 GB RAM; 2 GB of RAM and 2GHz processor

Any x86-based Linux distribution that includes GTK+ 2.8 (or higher), glibc-2.4 or higher, the CUPS
(Common Unix Printing System), and libstdc++.so.6. Ubuntu 6.10 or above, SUSE Linux Enterprise
Desktop 10, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 are officially supported.
The Linux version is available as a tar archive (.tgz file), Red Hat rpm file, and a deb file for Ubuntu.
A.tgz file was processed by tar and compressed by gzip. Untar the file and locate the Real Studio
application in the Real Studio folder.
Compiled applications require an x86-based Linux distribution with GTK+ 2.8 or above, glibc-2.4, the
CUPS, and libstdc++.so.6.
Macintosh Requirements
Any Intel-based Macintosh with at least 1 GB of RAM and Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
Recommended: At least 2 GB of RAM and Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
Desktop (Carbon): Mac OS X 10.4 or later
Desktop (Cocoa): Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
Web: To debug web apps, you will need Mac OS X 10.4 or later. Web apps can be accessed from any
modern Macintosh browser, such as Safari, Chrome or Firefox.
Download the latest version from the Real Software web site: http://www.realsoftware.com/download/
The download consists of a disk image (DMG) file, which you need to double-click to display in the
Finder
Select the disk image in the Finder and drag the Real Studio folder from the disk image to your
Applications folder
