STAMP ACT

1. Why are the court fee stamps on plaints and other petitions punched:
b)In what cases refund of court fee paid on
memorandum of appeal can be allowed ? (1964,
1976, 1977, 1988, 1997, 1991, 2003).

2. What do you know of the use and cancellation of adhesive stamps?

3. Whether an instrument chargeable with duty but not duly stamped can
be admitted into evidence. If so, under what circumstances? (1972,
1987, 1988)

4. Are there any exceptions to the rule? (1972)


b)Where an instrument has been admitted into evidence, whether
such admission can be called in question at the time of arguments
or in appeal before the appellate court on the ground that the
instrument could not be taken into consideration as it was not duly
stamped.
c)If an instrument chargeable with duty has been executed out of
India, can it be stamped after it has been received in India. If so,
within what period?

5. How valuation for purpose of jurisdiction and court fee fixed and the

ii) for accounts
iii) for maintenance payable periodically
iv) for possession of land assessed to land revenue;
v) for declaration of title with consequential relief of injunction relating to
property.
