GUIDE CARD
Hello!!
I’m Doctor Strange, the Healer. Come
with me as we diagnose the importance
of endocrine glands.

Are you conscious with your

health? There is a saying that
“To get rich never risk your
health”. For it is the truth that
health is the wealth of wealth.
Talking about health, the
responsible gland for this is our
Endocrine gland.
Do you know what are
endocrine glands and their
functions?
Lest us all find them out!

The endocrine system, in association with the nervous

system and the immune system, regulates the body’s internal
activities and the body’s interaction with the external
environment to preserve the internal environment.
This control system permits the prime functions of living
organisms – growth, development and reproduction – to proceed
in an orderly, stable fashions it is exquisitely self-regulating, so
that any description of the normal internal environment by
internal or external events are resisted by powerful
countermeasures.
When this resistance is overcome, illness ensues.
Main Task:

Explain the role of

glands/hormones
involved in the
human body.
(S10LT–IIIb-34)

Sub-tasks:

Identify the major endocrine glands in
