3.5 The student will investigate and
understand relationships among
organisms in aquatic and terrestrial food
chains. Key concepts include
a) producer, consumer, decomposer;
b) herbivore, carnivore, omnivore; and
c) predator and prey.
The students will be split into groups of 5 and each
create their own Kahoot quiz on the SOL standard.
Once they are done creating their own Kahoot they
will take turns taking their group members quizzes.
As the teacher I will review each of the student’s
quizzes on Kahoot to check that they are on task
and know the correct information. I will also make
sure each student knows how Kahoot works. And
how to sign up for a free account.

Each student will create a PowerPoint with their
Kahoot groups. Each student in the group will be in
charge of completing 2 slides of the PowerPoint for
homework. They will use google docs to edit their
slides on the PowerPoint. Google Docs is a great
app for collaboration because you are able to share
a document with a group of people and edit the
slides you are assigned. The students will each turn
in their PowerPoint for a grade As the teacher I will
assign the students the slides and topic of the slides
that they have to research and complete. I will also
check to make sure each group member has done
their part and explain how Google Docs works.
