    THE ASSESSMENT OF CULTURAL AND PRAGMATIC COMPETENCES (20 points)

    Write a 70-80 word coherent text responding to the situation below.

    1. One of your younger relatives asked you to recommend them a novel written by an author born
    in an English speaking country. Write them a note explaining why they should read the novel of
    your choice.

    Romeo and Juliet  by William Shakespeare is about 2 young


    lovers.Moreover, They are both a very powerful and influential.From my point
    of view, If Romeo and Juliet had been a little more patient with their
    relationship, and given their parents time to maybe come to an understanding,
    then they wouldn't have lost their lives. Furthermore, The whole moral is to let
    go of the things in the past, and to keep control over your emotions.

    SECTION IV. THE ASSESSMENT OF PRAGMATIC AND CIVIC COMPETENCES (30 points) Write a 180-200-
    word coherent text expressing your attitude on the given topic.

    Why do some people choose not to recycle? Justify your opinion. Present two examples. Use the
    following plan: ∙ introduction; ∙ body; ∙ conclusion.

    We need recycling for many reasons. But most importantly,it will help us to save our planet. In my
    opinion people choose to not recycle, because it’s inconvenient and is not paid .

    Firstly, the reality is that many residential pockets are located far from recycling pick-up points, so
    homeowners have to make a bit of a effort from their driveway. Furthermore,for some, this is
    inconvenient and keeps them from recycling like everyone else. But we all know that gathering items for
    recycling and making that short walk to the nearest pick-up point is a small price to pay for a greener
    planet .

    Secondly, a lot of people don’t recycle because they’re not getting paid to do it. While some places
    pay people a small amount for rounding up used bottles for recycling, the urge just isn’t that great for
    some. Moreover,not only does recycling help you live a better,but when done right, you can even save
    money as you find objects to repurpose .

    In conclusion I can say that, recycling reduces the amount of waste, that takes years to decompose.
