I. OBJECTIVES:

A. Content Standards: The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American Literature and
other text types serve as means of preserving unchanging values in a changing world, also how to use the features
of a full-length play, tense consistency, modals, active and passive constructions plus direct and indirect speech to
enable him/her competently performs in a full-length play.

B. Performance Standards: The learner competently performs in a full-length play through applying
effective verbal and non-verbal strategies and ICT resources based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery
and Dramatic Conventions.

C. Learning Competencies/Objectives: Relate text content to particular social issues, concerns or


dispositions in real life. (EN9RC-IVb-2.18)

D. Discussing new concepts and practice new skill


Listen to an anecdote entitled “The Search” (see English Time Key to Correction pp. 2). Make
predictions based on the title.

Let the students answer the following questions:
1. What did the artist do to find the most beautiful thing to paint?
2. Was he able to find what he wanted during his journey?
3. When did he find his subject for his painting?
4. Why do you think has the unknown author of the piece given much importance to the family?
