HIE Crystal Roy 1

CliniSync, is a Columbus-based service organization that runs Ohio’s statewide health


information exchange (HIE). It was created in summer of 2009 and spent the first two years
planning, developing, and getting the technology in place, it began implementations in 2011
and the first hospital went live in December 2011. It is now in 149 hospitals across Ohio, all but
about 20 in the state are working with CliniSync and 139 have gone live in data-sharing. They
also have 600 practices representing over 3,000 physicians not already connected to CliniSync
but are participating through their participating hospitals. The board consists of Amy Anders
(chair), Todd Baker (Vice chair), Matt Harney (Secretary), and ten other board members.
