The summative assessment for math will assess students' knowledge of place value in two-digit numbers using the same assessment as the pre-assessment. The teacher will use a scoring guide to document each student's results on the 9 questions and compare them to the pre-assessment to track growth. Manipulatives will be provided to support students who learn better hands-on or visually.

The scoring guide on day four will be used to document the students knowledge of the ones and tens place using place value, that numbers 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones; and that the numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine tens (and 0 ones). The summative assessment implemented will be the same one that was used for the pre-assessment. The results from the pre-assessment will be compared to the results of the summative assessment to track student growth. The assessment includes 9 questions regarding the place value of two- digit numbers. A differentiated scoring guide was not needed or used, but the students were given the opportunity to use manipulatives such as base ten blocks and linking cubes. The purpose of providing the manipulatives for the students was to support the individuals who need hands-on activities and/or visual support. The teacher candidate will use a scoring guide that will be used to document the results of each student and compare it to the results from the pre- assessment. The teacher candidate will provide written feedback on the summative assessment that will be returned to the students the following day.
