01.
Decision
Fatigue
Decision-making is not easy and
human mental energy is limited.
After we make, let's say, 99 good
decisions in a day, we'll be too
drained out for the 100th.
To avoid this, try to identify
the most important decisions you
need to make and prioritize your
time so that you made the
decisions when your energy
level is high.

02.
A steady
state of
distraction
In this digital era, distractions often
come from endless streams
of communication and information.
While it might seem hard, you can
minimize it by setting aside some
time everyday to step away from
various means of communication
or information sources.

03.
Lack
of input
We often don't get enough information
in a meeting because each person has
different way of expressing their ideas
and may not be comfortable in
the setting. Therefore, build a culture
in which people are reminded to prepare
their idea before the meeting and have
the chance to share ideas after
the meeting is over.

04.
Multitasking
Quality of work that comes
from multitasking will be
lower than something that
is done with focus. So, when
you need to make important
decisions, schedule several
time blocks in a day to focus
deeply on the task at hand.

05.
Emotions
Our emotions--positive or
negative--sometimes play
important part not only
on our decision but also
the speed at which we
make it. To deal with this,
identify your emotions,
avoid making any decision
when you're overly
emotional, and return to
the task at hand when
you are calmer.

06.
Analysis
Paralysis
More access to information can
lead to a longer time needed to
make a decision. The best way
to handle this is by reviewing
the pertinent information you
need and setting the deadline
to make it.

The most important lesson is that bad
decision will remain bad if we do nothing
to fix or learn something from it.
Research what you did wrong and talk
to many people to know how they
approached situations similar to yours.
Don't use it as a reason to stop taking risks.

you recently make?
Why did it happen and what
did you learn from it?
