 1. INTRODUCTION

ISON3D is formed by a group of engineers having a vision to make advanced machines and
devices in Bangladesh. 3D printing is the first initiative of ISON3D. Our first goal is to spread
out this so-called “next big thing” to people of every class in Bangladesh. This is why we
commit to sell the 3D printers at the cheapest price in Bangladesh. We do not finish our task
just by selling printers; rather, we make sure that proper training is provided so that everyone
can make their own object.

From the beginning our mission is to accelerate local manufacturing in Bangladesh and we
eagerly want to expand Ison3d so that it will lead the way of future innovation.

2. ISON3D’S PHILOSOPHY AND VISION

Manufacturing:
Ison3d is a fully Bangladeshi owned start-up company involved exclusively in high-tech
machine manufacturing and also offering a wide range of services like making functional
prototype, engineering model, and architectural model. Our mission is to manufacture and
continually develop high-tech engineering machineries using Bangladeshi resources. We had
already manufactured two different kinds of sophisticated machines which has enriched our
experience and accelerated the aspiration of further innovation.

In 2015 we started our journey with a printrbot 3d printer, our first mission was to develop a
low cost 3d printer and escalating 3d printing technology in whole country. First we
established a workshop consist of a CNC lathe machine and some other essential accessories.
With limited resources we launched our manufacturing venture alongside the mechanical
development our well experienced engineers devoted themselves for necessary software
development. After two years of continuous research and development work we finally came
into our final product.

Cost reduction

To reduce high cost of 3d printer Ison 3d has designed most cost efficient FDM 3d printer.
Understanding the spare parts price we adopted all locally manufactured parts. Ison 3d is
aiming to create 3d printers with both excelling long-lasting and accurate performance.

5. DEVELOPING TRIMATRIK EXTRUDER MACHINE

TRIMATRIK extruder machine

The aim of this work is to develop, design and manufacture an inexpensive extruder machine.
A desktop extruder machine is a creative tool for the researcher that minimized the filament
cost. Our innovative engineers team has developed TRIMATRIK desktop extruder which can
operate in 842 degrees Fahrenheit an can create a variety of materials for use in fused-
deposition modeling — a type of 3-D printing — including ABS and PLA.

Why we created desktop extruder machine

We want everyone to be able to create whatever they wish, without worrying about the cost or
the environment. The design technology available today is spurring a revolution in how people
think, make, and create. Hacker spaces, Maker Faires, and 3D printers in schools are all
evidence of a growing trend that allows anyone to make whatever they want, without needing
the time or skill required by traditional manufacturing methods.

An opportunity of recycle plastic and save the environment

In addition to handling virgin materials, Trimatrik extruder machine can create filaments from
waste materials, and our plan is to focus on these full-circle recycling capabilities more in the
future. The machine has drawn attention from researchers wanting to experiment with making
new kinds of filaments for 3-D printing. Using this extruder machine many household plastics
can be converted into filament for 3D printing.

TRIMATRIK extruder machine will give the users to choose their filament colour, diameter
and materials according to their own creativity and curiosity. In this way, 3d printer’s user will
save over 80% price of the filament and will reduce the environmental pollution.

 2. TOWARD ENRICHING MAKER COMMUNICITY
Make in Bangladesh

Ison3d is born out of a vision of ‘’Make in Bangladesh’’ pursuing the aim we are determined to
create a maker movement in Bangladesh. To fulfill our vision we are providing tools, space, and
resources among the students to allow them to create almost anything.
ISON3D trains on 3D printing and designing and helps to establish 3D printing laboratories in
academic institutions. ISON3D aims to spread out this technology to every level of the society
and integrate 3D printing with learning cycles.

Bringing the joy of creativity to everyone

Ison 3d has a well equipped modern maker lap with 10 3d printers, 2 laser engraving machine
and other essential equipments. The maker community and students are getting benefits from
our laboratory. Last year Ison3d was connected with hundreds of accomplished small science
projects most of the projects were performed by the students. While making various devices
the hobbyist and tech enthusiastic frequently face a common problem of sourcing enclosure
and customized raw material, Ison3d eagerly solve this problem without any business
perspective. Ison3d provide all these services to the students and maker for promoting the
making culture in Bangladesh. Ison3d organize workshop and seminar on universities and
schools to spread the making culture among all students.

Our involvement
We delivered 3d printer to 50 individual customers and 5 organizations. The key to keeping
our customers satisfied is to understand their every need and provide all kinds of support and
solution of their needs. We always help people to know them about 3d printing; we established
a 3d printing training centers to help customers more about 3d printing. Our sincere
manufacturing process also plays an important role in early detection and solution of
production problems.
