Introduction
Product
Green Cola is a thirst quenching “guilt-free” (ILikeCooking 2017) cola because it is a non-
sugar, low calorie, no chemicals soft drink. In Ireland, it is the only no calorie cola that uses a
natural sweetener.

It contains:

 No sugar – without unnecessary calories


 No aspartame
 No phosphoric acid
 No preservatives
 No cyclamate acid

Green Cola is sweetened with Stevia (extracted from the Stevia Plant) instead of aspartame
which is what other products usually use, including Coca-Cola. ‘The gluten-free cola contains
natural caffeine from green coffee beans and is even suitable for consumers with special
dietary requirements including diabetics, vegans and vegetarians’. (ILoveCooking, 2017)

Ireland earlier this year and is now available in SuperValu
and Centra stores throughout the country with
a recommended retail price of €1.00 per 300ml can and €1.60 per 500ml bottle
(ILoveCooking, 2017), with SuperValu currently selling the 330ml can at €1.05. (SuperValu,

 Green Cola’s range has also been
strengthened by the launch of Mad Mojito,
an alcohol-free Mojito that embraces
innovation in its ingredients and packaging.

Green Cola is one of the fastest growing consumer product companies in Greece already, ‘having
gained the second position in the cola soft drinks category with a 10% market share in the
organized trade’ (Greencola.com, 2017). In the last four years, the company has managed a
twelve-fold increase in earnings. Its export activity has increased substantially, exporting to
countries like Ireland, Belgium, Poland, Holland, Germany, UK, China and Australia.
