INTRODUCTION
The main question arises, what basically Digital Transformation is. It is the use of fast and
advanced technologies to solve problems of businesses and customers and bring in more
efficiency. Complete reimaging and makeover of the business with regard to the digital age is
digital transformation for any business. Dependence on modern technologies instead of human
capital is one of the major shifts economies are experiencing due to Digital transformations. This
is how an organization is going to utilize its resources and bring in a new, transformed version of
business processes in line with the technologies [ CITATION Cli19 \l 1033 ]

1. From the case study explain the disruption technologies that are Driving Change in the
Utilities Sector across Australian.

Answer # 1
Australian Utilities sector is going to experience a drastic change because of the new era of
digitalization. Definitely, there are certain drivers as well that are going to bring this change in
the business world. But most importantly, we need to understand that what those disruption
technologies are that are leading to this change. Artificial Intelligence, Cloud services are all the
examples of these technologies. So, let’s explain them in detail.

Managing data is a big deal, now-a-days rather than collecting or creating it. Organizations try
their best to make efficient use of the data to bring in innovation and productivity. So, the entire
company needs to work in collaboration to be part of this digital world. Four of the major
elements of this digital core are explained below:

 Information Processing: Automation of information from collection to entire processing of


data gathered by all the stakeholders.
 Information Management: In-depth analysis of the information is done after it has been
stored properly. This is done to make sure that information is with the right person at the
right time.
 Information Delivery: Collecting appropriate information and passing it down to relevant
people in order to collaborate and join forces to bring in more efficiency.

 Information Governance: Lastly, all the required information is maintained and managed in
such a way that ensures the ease in flow of information across the firm.

This digitalization will make sure that organizational structure is built in a way that it helps to
connect people, processes and all the essential information and lead them to bring change
successfully. This can, in turn, help the organization to deliver better customer service, maximize
firms’ asset managing ways and manage data grid efficiently. These are the major disruption
technologies that are driving change in the organizational world1 [ CITATION Mar18 \l 1033 ].

Customers.

New business models that are in line with the modern technologies have many advantages for the
firm as well as for its customers. Let’s just discuss all those potential benefits.

 The first and the foremost it brings complete digitalization in the business processes and
operations and makes it more efficient.
 Secondly, it allows for greater resource management
 It empowers the employees of an organization leading to motivated staff
 Opening doors to digital products and globalization
 Enhancing easy flow of information across various departments
 Increases agility and paves way for innovation in the organization
 Overall, it fosters a culture that is ‘digital’ in nature.

These were few of the benefits that firms enjoy when they are more ‘digital’. According to a
survey, 75% customers will buy from an organization that recognizes them or has their past
information stored with them (data management).

There are many advantages for the customers as well who are experiencing a digital world. They
are discussed below:

 Ample information about the firm as well as the products available online every time for the
customers
 Ease in comparing and even buying products whenever, wherever a customer wants
 Tailor made (specific) products available for each individual user according to his need and
demand
 Better customer service and value provided to the customers by the organization.

CONCLUSION
Technological advancements have already made a huge impact on the business world and how it
is going to deal with its stakeholders. And now, there is no clue as to when this digitalization
would slow down or stop. So, the companies that choose to be part of this digitalization,
promises their customers to give them even better experience as a whole. Customers, in return,
also like to stick to such firms that efficient information systems and help their customers by
serving them in the best possible manner.
