We Are The Reason O night divine, O night when Christ was born

O night divine o night, O night divine

Verse 1
As little children we would dream of Christmas morn
Of all the gifts and toys we knew we'd find Hark! the herald angels sing,
But we never realized a baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new-born King!
Reff : Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled."
We were the reason that He gave His life Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
We were the reason that He suffered & died Join the triumph of the skies;
To a world that was lost, He gave all He could give With th' angelic host proclaim,
To show us the reason to live "Christ is born in Bethlehem."
Verse 2 Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new-born King!
As the years went by we learned more about gifts Christ, by highest heaven adored:
The giving of ourselves and what that means Christ, the everlasting Lord;
On a dark and cloudy day, a man hung crying in the rain Late in time behold him come,
All because of love, all because of love Offspring of the favoured one.
Reff Veiled in flesh, the Godhead see;
Hail, th'incarnate Deity:
Bridge : I've finally found the reason for living Pleased, as man, with men to dwell,
It's in giving every part of my heart to Him Jesus, our Emmanuel!
In all that I do, every word that I say Hark! the herald angels sing,
I'll be giving my all just for Him, for Him "Glory to the new-born King!
Hail! the heaven-born
Prince of peace!
Holy Night
Hail! the Son of Righteousness!
O holy night the stars are brightly shining Light and life to all he brings,
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth Risen with healing in his wings
Long lay the world in sin and error pining Mild he lays his glory by,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth Born that man no more may die:
Born to raise the son of earth,
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices Born to give them second birth.
For yonder breaks a new glorious morn Hark! the herald angels sing,
Fall on your knees "Glory to the new-born King
O hear the angels' voices
