The Supply Chain Planning Specialist is to align plans between manufacturing, transport, construction and sales Australia to enable project sales while minimizing risk in execution.
Considering lead time, physically constraints of the supply chain and financial impacts plan. Able to distil options into understandable scenarios where tradeoffs are clearly understood
by stake holders and decision makers.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate between manufacturing/sales/construction/transport to meet customers' demands while balancing supply chain constraints and maintaining visibility to the financial
impacts to Vestas.
• Facilitating regional sales forecast into the global numbers
• Evaluating projects presented by sales and how these fit with capacity allocations of sourcing and timing, then work alternatives to find acceptable solutions in the best
interested of the whole of Vestas
• Evaluate projects in the pipeline in terms of opportunity costs and direct financial impacts to the portfolio when considering the full end to end value chain
• Create, accept and process Inquires related to demand, transport, etc.
• Closely cooperate with the country and sales business unit for all main components on production plans and stock levels
• Initially responsible for current tasks and accountabilities and look for ways to improve and drive improvement projects.
• Release projects for production.
• Will have to consider financial impacts of plan changes, inventory, cost of cash, transport costs, duties between countries, and price from different factories.
• Maintain and support full transparency across manufacturing and throughout the supply chain.
• Other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.
• This role will work on standard, (daily, weekly monthly) reporting and do ad hoc analysis of specific complex issues and track to plan, report on execution and present solutions
(optimization). Looking to effect, timing, cash, revenue, transport, ensuring on time delivery at lowest costs and need to consider regional and global implication.
• Must communicate with internal stakeholders across SBU, PBU, regional and global, in varying functional areas who are above, below and peer level in a clear concise and
professional manner
• Individual will drive process improvement and lead project follow up, lead meetings to keep alignment and generally keep the organization on the same beat to meet customer
demands.
• Project management tracking to ensure stakeholders deliver as per agreement to avoid impact in customer service delivery

Qualifications
• IMPACT: Individual contributor with major impact on supply chain components and production within region and across functions. Strategic focus in planning and results with
significant effect on stakeholder budgets
• KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrates professional supply chain knowledge at an expert level for Vestas; this role's regular activities and impact are seen in multiple countries and
cultures.
• COMMUNICATION: Excellent oral and written communication skills required; ability to build and foster effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, as well as internal
manufacturing, logistics, transportation and production stakeholders; interacts with
• INNOVATION: Constantly analyzes and evaluates complex processes for continuous improvement and results.
• WORKING CONDITIONS: No major exposure to risk or physical injury on the job. Travel to external sites would be expected frequently

Competencies
• Strong stakeholder management and project management skill are a must
• Four-year university degree or technical education in engineering, supply chain, business administration or combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years of relevant experience; wind industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated personal commitment and focus on correct data as well as the ability to focus on details without losing the overall perspective.
• Strong technical background, understanding and interest, preferably in logistics (supply chain), finance, engineering
• Ability to understand and analyze complex supply chain related issues including the financial impacts
• Goal-oriented with a strong drive; demonstrated enthusiasm for taking on responsibility and achieving results independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, and understanding of different cultures.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office, ERP / MRP systems (Mapics/SAP preferred)
