StoneRiver System Disaster Recovery

Execution
CIN01LD01
System Recovery

1. Create a new VM to replace system.


2. Install OS (Any server version of Windows should work).
3. Assign server the IP address: 10.121.100.26
4. Install the Backup Exec client and restore the following directories:

a. C:\Backup Exec AOFO Store


b. C:\Backup.Daily
c. C:\Backup.DB2
d. C:\Backup.Weekly
e. C:\BatFiles
f. C:\DB2
g. C:\Documents and Settings - but to the /temp directory to be used as reference
h. C:\Download
i. C:\ibm
j. C:\Inetpub
k. C:\Lotus
l. C:\Notes
m. C:\OpenManage
n. C:\Program Files - but to the /temp directory to be used as reference
o. C:\TEMP

NOTE: All software installed on CIN01LD01 is also stored on that computer under the
C:\DOWNLOAD directory.

5. Install the following applications:

a. DB2 V9.7
i. Install from C:\DOWNLOAD\db2.9.7.ESE\
ii. Install accepting all defaults

b. Lotus Domino server V8.5


i. Install from C:\DOWNLOAD\Lotus Domino Server\
ii. Install as enterprise server

c. Lotus Notes client, admin and developer V8.5


i. Install from
C:\DOWNLOAD\lotus_notesdesigneradmin_w32_C1SQ5EN.exe
ii. Install using all defaults

d. Lotus DB2 access


i. Install from C:\DOWNLOAD\IBM DB2 Access for Lotus Domino
8.5.C1W7EEN.exe
ii. Install using all defaults

6. Once these are all installed, restore the following directories on top of those just
installed…

a. C:\DB2
b. C:\Documents and Settings – only the desktop icons to verify the products are
installed in the correct directory
c. C:\ibm
d. C:\Inetpub
e. C:\Lotus
f. C:\Notes
g. C:\Program Files - but only copy the directories existing on C:\Program Files,
after the reinstall

7. Reboot the Server.

System Validation

1. Copy the “Lotus” folder from \\cin01dc01\Installs\ID Files\Emergency Copy of Lotus


Folder to the Root of the C: drive on a test Workstation.
2. Install the Lotus Notes Client on the Workstation, accepting the default settings.
3. Launch the Lotus Notes Client.
4. Authenticate using the password stored in Password Safe (Applications, Cincinnati, Lotus
Notes).
5. Verify that the Lotus Notes Workbench loads properly.
