■ #About_NIMHANS_exam:
♧ Its an online MCQ based Post Graduate entrance exam for direct Mch /DM
neurology and MD Psychiatry courses.
♧ Exams are held usually in the last week of March.
■ #Duration_and_Scoring:
♧ Its 90 min exam with 100 MCQs with negative marking.
♧ One mark for correct answer and one mark deducted for wrong answers.
■ #Rough_analysis_of_paper:
♧ Approximately 40 to 50 MCQs will be asked from routine 19 subjects studied
during MBBS and these MCQs will be similar to the MCQs asked in other PGME
exams like AIPG/AIIMS/ and JIPMER.

SO keep revising your notes as you have done for AIPG/AIIMS and JIPMER
exams.
♧ Rest 40 to 50 MCQs are related to Neurology sections of all other subjects like
anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology ,pharmacology, pathology,
ophthalmology, medicine, surgery, psychiatry, radiology and anesthesia.

C) Snell's neuroanatomy
D) Neurobiochemistry from Harper
E) Neuro-microbiology from Paniker

H) Neuroopthalmology from Parson,
I) Neuroanaesthesia from class notes / Ajay yadav
J) Neuroradiology from class notes /guidebook
K) Psychiatry from Ahuja and Kaplan.
♧ Overall paper will be easy in comparison to AIPG/ AIIMS/ PGI or JIPMER exams.
♧ Number of seats are very less, so try to avoid silly mistakes.
♧ Try to attempt 90 plus MCQs...
♧Try to solve previous 4 to 5 years of any NIMHANS MCQ guide (heard about
OMKARNATH guidebook is helpful....!!!!!!) to get the rough idea of questions and
high yield topics.
Its possible to crack this exam if you remember this by heart........
