Continuity Planning
This is a Plan - Their are many meetings
going on throughout the district in
addressing the Continuity Plan.
Anything could be changed as we
speak. The information we are
presenting is current as to what we
know. Due to the nature of the virus, we
know that there are many questions
that we will have to wait to understand
further developments.
What it is? What it isn´t?
● A continuation of school off ● A make-up day. Our efforts
campus will be based in planning for
● Utilization of technology that live instruction
students and parents already ● Busy-work for teachers and
use to continue instruction students
● A time to expand our skills in ● Extra pre-planning
utilizing digital resources
F.A.Q.
Are there plans to cancel?

No, we have not been made aware of any plans to close school at this point. Be sure and check your email several times just in
case this changes.

What about kids without internet access?

There are plans to utilize our infrastructure to allow for connectivity throughout high needs areas. We can utilize wireless
capable busses and create Access Points outside of the School to allow for students to get on.

How will we decide if we close?

The Superintendent and Iowa Department of Education will make this decision with guidance from the CDC and other Health
Officials. Mr Coen will provide as much time as possible for families to make arrangements. Our continuity plan allows for 2 days of
planning prior to delivering instruction.

Will we be able to get into the building?

This is dependent on the advice from the state. If a decontamination process is needed we may , potentially, not be able to
return to the building.
F.A.Q.
What if I am horrible with technology?

All instructional coaches and principals will be available to assist you with lesson delivery during this time. Please don´t
hesitate to contact Liz (319)759-9480 or David (563)581-2448

What if I get sick and can't complete lessons?

Both David and Liz will have access to all of the Google Classrooms. They will ensure that the lesson for the day is delivered.
Please continue to report absences into Aesop and text David to ensure all students are given instruction

What about Special Education Delivery?

The continuity plan has been reviewed by Shawn Stringer. We have plans in place to offer SDI as part of our plan. Also, as
needed (rare instances) we will offer compensatory education during the summer.

Efficacy. No one is the expert, we don't
have all of the answers, but working
together we can get through this. This is
a challenging time for our World,
Nation, State, City and District
requiring tough decisions to be made.

1. Create Google Classroom if you have not
done so. Add Mark and Wes as teachers.

2. Establish a YouTube Channel utilizing
your Gmail.
3. Use Screencastify to create a video and
link this to your YouTube
4. Be prepared to deliver instruction in a
different medium.
5. Invite David, Liz, and a colleague to be a
co-teacher in your “classroom”
