the permanent record.
1. Describe any general background information you believe would be beneficial for the evaluator’s
understanding of what he/she will observe in this class. This may include information concerning the
nature of the course, students, etc.
2. Briefly describe where this lesson falls in the instructional sequence (what happened before, what will
happen after) and the general objectives of this lesson.
3. Describe the teaching methods and learning activities which may be observed.
4. Describe formal and/or informal methods of assessing student learning which may be utilized.
