RENOUNCEMENT OF THE OCCULT AND ALL-POWERS AND PRACTICES DERIVED FROM IT

To be prayed by the Afflicted of Occult Spirits, if possible kneeling down or prostrated, before the Blessed
Sacrament or an Icon of the Lord Jesus or a Crucifix.

H
eavenly Father, in the name of your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, I renounce
Satan and all his works, witchcraft, the use of divination, the use of the Occult Third
Eye and the Evil Eye, the practicing of sorcery, dealings with mediums and
spiritualists, spirit of the glass and all other means intended to communicate with spirits
whether of the deceased or any other spirit, astrology, horoscopes, numerology, all types of
fortune telling, palm readings, tea-leaves reading, levitation, and anything associated with
the occult and Satan, whether knowingly or through ignorance, I denounce all of them in the
name of the Lord Jesus Christ who came in the flesh, and by the power of His Cross, His
Blood and His resurrection, I break their hold over me. (3x)

I confess all these sins before you and ask you cleanse and forgive me. I confess with my lips
and my heart that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, and ask you Lord Jesus to enter my
heart and create in me the kind of person you have intended me to be. I ask you to send forth
Your Holy Spirit and renew me with His life-giving and sanctifying gifts, just as when you
have breath on the apostles the Holy Spirit after your resurrection and sealed and
empowered them on the day of Pentecost.

I thank you Almighty Father according to the riches of your glory, for strengthening my inner
spirit with the power of your Holy Spirit, so that Christ may dwell in my heart. Through faith,
rooted and grounded in love, may I be able to comprehend with all the saints, the breadth,
length, height, and depth of Christ’s love which surpasses all knowledge. Through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.

angels and unclean spirits. (3x)

I renounce all evil deeds including all sins of idolatry, pride, hatred, and superstition. (3x)

I renounce all unholy consecrations from occult practices done to me at any time in my life
whether willingly or through ignorance. (3x)

I renounce all curiosities I may have had with the occult and the New Age, and my desire to
obtain “supernatural” power for whatever purpose I imagined. (3x)

I renounce all the vows and pacts I made with the evil one wilfully or by default in exchange
for powers and the fulfilment of all my desires that are contrary to God’s holy will and
commandments. (3x)

I renounce the spirit of divination and the spirit of the occult and whatever power it has given
me. (3x)

I renounce the glamor of sin, and refuse to be mastered by sin. (3x)

After renouncing, it is important that one makes a sacramental confession, mentioning whatever
particular sin related to the occult they have made. Anything of the occult in your possession such as
amulets, talismans, good-luck charms, books, idols from non-Christian religions that you consider
good luck, and anything taken from the burial grounds have all to be disposed of.

A sincere Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Virgin Mary before a Vatican accepted or
approved icon or image of the Blessed Mother is to be done after the renunciation as a sign of one’s
return to the Baptismal Promises and fidelity to the Church Jesus Christ founded.

I, N., a faithless sinner-- renew and ratify today in your hands, O Immaculate Mother, the
vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself
entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my
life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before. (3x)

In the presence of all the heavenly court I choose you this day, for my Mother and Queen. I
deliver and consecrate to you, as your faithful child, my body, mind, will, and soul, my goods,
both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present and future;
and all that belongs to me, without exception, for my eternal salvation and the greater glory
of God, now and forever. Amen.
