These are those benefits which are measured in monetary terms. These
benefits improve the productivity of process and personnel. It also
lowering the cost of products and
services purchased.

INTANGIBLE BENEFITS

These are those benefits that


cannot be measured in monetary
terms but they do have a very
significant business impact.

These benefits improve or


enhanced user experience. It also increases customer satisfaction,
compliance and brand equity.

There are two method to improve these benefits

1- Savings by design
2- Improvements in construction process.

SAVING BY DESIGN

• Design flexibility and carefully considered site planning that


reduce the footprint of the building.

• Right sizing the facility while satisfying the need of the


owner.

• Efficiency in infrastructure, e.g. (saving on
surface area for paving, minimum length
sewer lines.)
• Downsized mechanical and electrical
equipment, nature ventilations etc.

• Increase the local economy, but reduce transport cost.

IMPROVEMENTS IN CONSTRUCTION PROCESS –

• These improvements may affect


the overall cost of the project.

• Environmentally conscious
construction practices can
markedly reduce site
disturbance, the quantity of
waste sent to landfills, and the use of natural resources
during construction.

• Demolition debris can be reused in site work.

• Cost of repair and replacement can be reduced by protecting


material and equipment.

• Also, minimize the prospect of adverse indoor air quality in


the finished building.
