3.1 Risk assessment

1. TITLE

This statement is to define the Removal and Rearranging of false ceiling Tiles with repairing of the
suspension system in UAE University.

2. SCOPE OF WORK

2.1 General Description

The scope of this method statement is to define the general procedure that will be followed for the
Removal and Rearranging of false ceiling Tiles with repairing of the suspension system in E4
Building as follows,

a) Removing the tiles & rearranging them (3 Floors) in E4 Building

b) Repair of the suspension system (3 floors) in E4 Building

2.2 Plant and Equipment

The following equipment shall be utilized for the installation of the Electrical Works

Standard Technician hand Tool Box

Electric Drilling machine

G.I Hand cutting Hacksaw

Mobile Scaffolds

Hammer

2.3 Materials

Material to be used same as existing make or equivalent.

2.4 UAE University preparation

2.4.1 UAE University management access routes

Access routes: Use and follow the defined routes to the UAE University and relevant work Permits
from M/s.KHADAMAT
2.4.2 Communicate on Site

Communication at site shall be effected through Mobile phone & land lines.
Toolboxes and safety awareness talks shall be observed at site before
Initiating critical activities to properly communicate to the working level all

2.5 Work Methodology

Before commencing the work have to take necessary permission from the authority (M/s KHADAMAT)

Locating the work area under the supervision of the authority

Provide the proper scaffolding / ladders as per the safety procedure

Remove and rearrange the false ceiling tiles from the exact building location as per Khadamat engineer
instruction.

Repair the false ceiling suspension system from the exact damaged location as per Khadamat engineer
instruction.

Finally fix the false ceiling title at proper place

Remove the scaffolding and clear all the work area and inform the supervisor staff

Engineer’s inspection and approval will be taken.

2.6 RESPONSIBILITY

Project Manager, Project Engineer, Supervision/ Foreman are responsible to ensure that all
activities in scope of work are implemented in line with Client requirements.
2.6.1 Position: Project Engineer

Responsibility:

Responsible for scheduling day to day activities at site Ensure that the work is executed as per
contract specification and Quality plan
Responsible for the follow up and updating of work schedule
Responsible for material requisition
Ensure the welfare and safety of the personnel working under him.

2.6.2 Position: Supervisor/Foreman

Responsibilities:

Directly in charge of the daily execution of work

Ensure that the personnel work under safe environment and implement Safety procedures
Assist the QA/QC Engineers in executing and maintaining overall quality of daily works.
2.7 WORK FORCE
The workforce allocated to this job be as follows:
· 1 Foreman
· 2 Technicians
· 2 Assistant Technician
