Adhesion test on TSA coating
Include the adhesion test on the work piece ( equipment/piping)
•Pull-off adhesion tests directly on the work piece shall be performed at least once per 100 m²
(1070 ft2) of prepared surface, with a minimum of three measurements per sprayer per shift
and the adhesion strength with minimum of 8.4 MPa (1200 psi) with no cut made around the
dolly.

The minimum adhesion criteria of 6.3MPa is not acceptable. Minimum adhesion shall not be
less than 7MPa at any location.

application of any equipment after blast cleaning. This is a practical requirement.

Test certificate for the aluminium grade 1100 according to ISO 209 from manufacturer shall
be provided by TSA applicator.

TSA coating thickness
The criteria of minimum local thickness up to 90% is not acceptable. The TSA coating
thickness shall be minimum 250 microns and maximum 500 microns at any location.
