ST-CM electronic trip units can equip all
Compact CM circuit breakers. They are
powered by toroids fitted in the circuit
breakers and operate without an external
source. Settings are made on the front face.
Three models are available.
ST-CM1: standard protection of circuits
ST-CM2: protection with discrimination
ST-CM3: protection with discrimination +
earth-fault protection

Trip unit ST-CM1 offers the following types
of protection:
■ long time protection against overloads with
adjustable Ir threshold (1) - 6 settings:
0.5...1 x In;
■ short time protection against short-circuits
with adjustable Im threshold (3) - 4 settings:
3...6 x Ir.
Trip unit ST-CM2 offers the following types
of protection:
■ long time protection against overloads with
adjustable Ir threshold (1) - 6 settings:
0.5...1 x In;
■ short time protection against short-circuits:
■ with adjustable Im threshold (3) - 4
settings: 2...8 x Ir;
■ with adjustable time delay (4) - 4 settings:

■ instantaneous protection against short-
circuits with fixed I threshold (5): 35 kA.
Trip unit ST-CM3 offers the following types
