The Sports Outlet
The number app that connects sport athletes who’ve experienced
injury.
The Big Idea...
● Provides software application aimed toward athletes who are battling
injury
● Gives platform to connect with other athletes, including professionals
● Allows interaction with trained professionals and counselors
● Having injuries is mentally draining and a mind game
● High school athletes alone account for an estimated 2 million injuries as
well as 500,000 doctor visits and 30,000 hospitalizations each year
● Many of those athletes quit and give up
Customer and Problem We’re Addressing...
● This is for athletes of all ages around the United States looking for an
outlet while they are battling their injuries
● Target customer age is aimed towards individuals between 13 and 25
● Target gender is 50% male and female, and all demographic areas
● The biggest problem this customer has is battling with their injury, and
coping with being out of their sport during and out of season
● We want these athletes to feel support, and have an outlet to push
through the worst
Our Innovation and How it Works...
● Our service works by allowing professional counselors and professional athletes to
connect with younger athletes who are injured
● This service will be free and accessible to anyone who needs the help
● The athlete will download our app, fill out a short questionnaire, and their
answers to the questionnaire will help connect them to a professional athlete or
counselor who will be the best fit to helping the out.
How our Idea Solves the Problem...
● Our idea helps young athletes cope with the struggle of having an injury.
● Many athletes feel unmotivated and feel pessimistic about having an injury, they
feel as though their athletic career will fall.
● The professional counselors and athletes will help motivate the young athletes to
strive and persevere. They will encourage them to have a positive mindset and give
them ways to cope with feeling down.
