MICHAEL HINOJOSA, ED.D.

SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

February 19, 2020

To whom it may concern:

Ms. Brenda Coursey has worked as a librarian at our campus for the past 3 years. While at MASA she
has accepted additional duties like, Campus Testing Coordinator, Activities Coordinator, UIL
Coordinator, 5th grade math tutor, and Robotics Coach.

During Ms Coursey’s tenure at Mount Auburn, her dedication to the students has been exceptional.
She has a tremendous impact on our student population campus wide. Students continuously benefit
from her engaging lessons and the love of learning is constantly instilled in the students as they visit
the library.

Ms Coursey’s leadership qualities have reached staff members who have welcomed her contributions
to her additional roles. She has the ability to establish clear communication, great organization skills,
and she is an overall a fantastic team player. She has earned the respect and collaboration of staff
members by promoting a positive outlook, being a great listener and being empathetic with staff as she
designs and refines different procedures in the building.

We hold Ms. Coursey in the highest esteem as an educator. She is always willing to contribute to the
campus in a positive way and help staff members. She is consistently promoting learning and a positive
working environment.

At Mount Auburn we are very pleased to have Ms. Coursey among our staff of educators. We are
convinced that her dedication to our students has made a positive impact in their education and their
outlook as lifelong learners. It is without reservation that I recommend Ms. Coursey for a teaching
position or Media Specialist/librarian position on your campus.

Yours truly,
