Pipe Maintenance

Responsibility
The graphics demonstrate the current policy of Irish Water in relation to the maintenance and renewal of
water supply and wastewater pipes. The graphics provide a broad and general overview of Irish Water’s
current policy. Each specific pipe (or network of pipes) should still be reviewed on an individual basis.
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in these
graphics, Irish Water, its employees, contractors or agents assume no responsibility for and give no
guarantees, undertakings or warranties concerning the accuracy, completeness or up to date nature of
the information provided in these graphics and do not accept any liability whatsoever arising from any
errors or omissions.
Irish Water would like to draw customers attention to the fact that the publication of these graphics is
for illustration purposes only and reflects the current policy of Irish Water which may be changed from
time to time. Ultimately, the Water Services Act 2007 to 2017 sets out legal responsibilities in relation to
pipework and the publication of these graphics is not intended to (and does not) override the position as
set out in that legislation.
