Project Title: TRAINING AND SEMINAR ON “STUDENTS TODAY ROAD USERS TOMORROW” STRUT
Project Proponent: WINSTON T. YUTA
Program Description: The “Students Today, Road Users Tomorrow” is one of the priority programs of the Land
Transportation Office in cooperation with the Department of Education.
The main purpose of the said project is to strengthen advocacy in raising road safety awareness to
students to lower cases of road accidents. The program targets the students as the priority sector
in road education since they are the next generation of road users.

As a partner in this endeavor, the Department of Education through its regional offices down to
the school levels have adopted the program hence to this proposal.

In Binanuaanan High School, it is an important activity that must be implemented since most of
the students are utilizing motorcycles or engaged in this particular mode of transportation in
which several cases of accidents are being recorded and noted particularly during school days.

Mode of The activity is scheduled on August 29, 2019 at Binanuaanan High School. The main facilitators of
Delivery/Duration/Level this activity are the proponents with the guidance of the school head and through the support of
of Management the School’s DRRMO, Supreme Student Government, The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BHS
Chapter), The Girl Scouts of the of the Philippines (BHS Chapter) and other School and student’s
Organizations. The will be participated in by students from all grade levels to fully attain the goals
of the organization. The school will also be inviting the transport group in the community,
particularly the Door –To – Door (Habal) to join the training and seminar.
There will be an invited experts coming from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to facilitate the
above said activity.
Values: A worthy endeavor that encourages student’s participation and actions in the promotion of
discipline and awareness regarding road safety and standards.
Competencies: Fostering self-esteem, collaboration, and creative thinking skills
