Realization
Head (dark brown color):
To avoid a hole at the beginning of your project, you need to start it with a double adjustable ring
(loop twice the yarn on your finger and when you finish the row pull the remaining yarn to close the
hole).
Row 1: 6 single crochet stitches.
Row 2: Weave 2 single crochet in each stitch from last row (12 stitches).
Row 3: *1 single crochet, 2 single crochet in next stitch*, repeat from *to* 6 times (18 stitches).
Row 7 & 8: Single crochet in each stitch.
Row 9: *10 single crochet, 1 decrease (2 single crochet weaved together)*, repeat from *to* 3 times
(33 stitches).
Row 10: Single crochet in each stitch.
(30 stitches).
Row 13:*8 single crochet, 1 decrease (2 single crochet weaved together)*, repeat from *to* 3 times
(27 stitches).
(24 stitches).
Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors and stuff it.
Muzzle (beige color):

Make a double adjustable ring. Weave:
(42 stitches).
(36 stitches).
(30 stitches).
(24 stitches).

Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors and stuff it. With invisible stitches, sew it to the head.
Eyes:
White color:
Left eye (big):
(18 stitches).
(12 stitches).
Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors and stuff it.
Right eye (small):
Row 2: *2 single crochet, 3 single crochet in next stitch*, repeat from *to* twice (10 stitches).
Row 3: 3 single crochet, 3 single crochet in next stitch, 4 single crochet, 3 single crochet in next
stitch, 1 single crochet (14 stitches)
Row 5: *5 single crochet, 1 decrease (2 single crochet weaved together)*, repeat from *to* twice
(12 stitches).
Iris (black color):
Left iris (big):
Make a double adjustable ring and weave: 2 single crochet, 3 half double crochet and 2 single
crochet (7 stitches). Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors.
Right iris (small):
Make a double adjustable ring and weave: 2 single crochet, 2 half double crochet and 1 single
crochet (5 stitches). Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors.
Eyelids (Beige color):
Weave 23 chains and 3 rows of single crochet stitches. Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors.
Eyes assemble: With invisible stitches sew the iris to each eyeball. With white yarn embroider a
point of light on the top of each iris. Sew the eyes to the head. Sew the eyelid all around the sides
and top of the eyes.

Nose (beige color):
Row 5: *2 single crochet weaved together*, repeat from *to* 6 times (6 stitches).
Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors and stuff it. Sew it to the bottom of the eyes, over the union.
Ears:
Each ear has 2 pieces: a front piece in beige color and a back piece in dark brown color.
Beige color (weave this piece twice):
Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors.
Dark brown color (weave this piece twice):
Without cutting the yarn off, face the front piece and the back piece from their backs and join their

edges weaving a row in single crochet stitches.
Lip (beige color):

Fold in half and join the edges with a row of single crochet stitches (9 stitches).
Feet and legs (make 2):

Beige color:
Weave 4 chains and continues weaving around of them:
Row 1: 3 single crochet, 3 single crochet in the next stitch, 3 single crochet (9 stitches)
Row 2: 3 single crochet, 3 single crochet in the next stitch, 1 single crochet, 3 single crochet in the
next stitch, 3 single crochet (13 stitches)
Row 8: In this row you’ll weave the toes: 11 single crochet, 5 double crochet drawn together in next
stitch, 1 single crochet, *4 double crochet drawn together in next stitch, 1 single crochet*, repeat
from *to* 4 times, 4 single crochet (25 stitches). IMPORTANT: when you are weaving the other
foot, do not forget to invert the toes’ order.
Row 10: 9 single crochet, 1 decrease (2 single crochet weaved together), 10 half double crochet, 1
decrease, 2 single crochet (23 stitches).

Change to dark brown color:
Row 14 to 19: Single crochet in each stitch.
Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors and stuff it. Weave the other foot and leg (do not forget to
invert the toes’ order). Once you arrive to row 19, without cutting the yarn off, stuff the leg, weave
2 single crochet stitches and join both legs with 5 single crochet stitches. Then, continue weaving
the body around the legs.
Body (dark brown color):


(38 stitches).
(36 stitches).
(30 stitches).
(28 stitches).
(26 stitches).
(24 stitches).
(22 stitches).
(20 stitches).
(18 stitches).
Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors and stuff it. Sew it to the head.
Hands and arms (make 2):

Beige color:
Row 7: 12 single crochet, 6 double crochet drawn together in next stitch, 11 single crochet (24
stitches)
(20 stitches).
Change to dark brown color:
Row 11: 1 decrease (2 single crochet weaved together), 1 single crochet in each stitch till the end of
the row (19 stitches).

Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors and stuff it. It’s recommended that you start stuffing the
hands and arms while you’re weaving it in order to avoid any troubles.
Wrist’s border (dark brown color):

Both wrists’ borders are weaved directly over each arm. You need to insert the hook in every stitch
from the row where you change colors:
Row 2: *3 crochet, 2 single crochet in next stitch*, repeat from *to* 5 times (25 stitches).
Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors. Weave the other wrist’s border the same way.
Ankle’s border (dark brown color):

Both ankles’ borders are weaved directly over each leg. You need to insert the hook in every stitch
from the row where you change colors:
Row 2: *3 crochet, 2 single crochet in next stitch*, repeat from *to* 5 times (25 stitches).
Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors. Weave the other ankle’s border the same way.

Belly (beige color):
Weave 9 chains and continues weaving around of them:
Row 1: 8 single crochet, 3 single crochet in the next stitch, 8 single crochet (19 stitches)
Row 2: 7 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 3 half double crochet in next stitch, 1 half double
crochet, 3 half double crochet in next stitch, 7 single crochet (23 stitches)
crochet, 3 half double crochet in next stitch, 2 half double crochet, 8 single crochet (27 stitches)
crochet, 3 half double crochet in next stitch, 3 half double crochet, 8 single crochet (31 stitches)

Tail (dark brown color):
Row 5: *4 single crochet, 1 decrease (2 single crochet weaved together)*, repeat from *to*3 times
(15 stitches).

Make a knot, cut the yarn with scissors and stuff it. Sew the tail to the body like in the final project.
Shirt (red color):

Body:
Weave 18 chains and continue weaving in single crochet:
Row 1 to 9: 18 single crochet stitches.
Row 10: 10 single crochet (leave the latest 8 stitches without weaving for arm pit).
Row 11 to 13: Single crochet in each stitch (10 stitches)
Row 14: 10 single crochet and 8 chains.
Row 25: 10 single crochet (leave the latest 8 stitches without weaving).
Row 26: Single crochet in each stitch (10 stitches)
Row 38: 10 single crochet (leave the latest 8 stitches without weaving for arm pit).
Row 39 to 42: Single crochet in each stitch (10 stitches).
Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors. Fold to the center both external parts of the shirt,
matching the edges of the arm pits. Then sew 4 stitches of each shoulder.
Collar:
For the collar, weave around the upper side of the shirt 4 rows of 25 single crochet stitches, leaving
without weaving the 3 first and last stitches. Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors.
Sleeves:
For each sleeve you have to crochet around each arm pit 7 single crochet rows of 24 stitches. Every
time you finish a row, you’ll have to turn around the work, in order to start the next row (don’t
weave in spiral).
Ending details:
Sew the head to the body. Sew the eyes to the head and sew the eyelids all around the sides and top
of the eyes. Sew the nose to the bottom of the eyes, over their union. Sew the lip to the muzzle like
in the final project. Sew the ears to each side of the head. Sew the arms to each side of the body,
making the stitches over the union between the head and body. With invisible stitches sew the belly.
Sew the tail to the monkey’s back.
Dress Chuck with its red shirt.
