JOB DESCRIPTION

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Project manager

 Preparing work for the whole team.


 Plan the delivery of the project at hand.
 Manage the day-to-day working, implementation and technical consultants
engaged on client assignments.
 Ensuring that all project objectives are met.
 Reviewing the contractual conditions of performance, determining the
precision of the work, handling requirements and deliverables.
 Recruiting and supervise specialists and sub-contractors.
 Manage possible risks.
 Estimate, compare and cut unnecessary costs to stay within budget limits.
 Coordinate support and conduct training.
 Ensuring that quality standards are met.

2. Structural and Civil Engineer

 Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.


 Design structures to withstand load and stresses.
 Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs.
 Choose appropriate construction materials to meet design specifications.
 Analysis configurations of the basic structural component of a building.
 Calculate the pressures, stresses and other forces experienced by each building
component due to environmental factors such as weather or natural disasters.

 Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors.


 Liaise with architects to agree on safe designs and fit the aesthetic concept of
construction
 Inspecting properties to check conditions and foundations.
 Examine structures at risk of collapse and advising how to improve their
structural integrity

 Making drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for


building contractors.

 Providing technical advice.


 Use computer - aided design (CAD) technology for simulation purposes.
 Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects.
 Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health
and safety.

3. Geotechnical Engineer

 Perform geotechnical analysis and study to assess construction site condition.


 Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration effectively.
 Perform field and environmental investigations for construction projects.
 Mandated to assist in the development of site - specific earthworks and
foundations.
 Analyze the results of subsurface investigations and field tests with dedicated
software.
 Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare
data reports to manager.
 Develop proposals and determine cost and schedule for investigations.
 Provide direction to technical team in field inspection activities.
 Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned project
on-time.
 Assist manager in design and evaluation of constructions.
 Develop design drawings and specifications for construction projects.
 Consideration of the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time limits
 Review and approve geotechnical designs developed by outside consultants.
 Review construction design proposals and approve geotechnical aspects.

4. Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

 To review and coordinate building and Mechanical and Electrical drawings.


 Responsible for effective project implementation of the site works for
all mechanical and electrical work and prepare necessary reports.
 Development and implementation of cost - effective equipment modifications
to improve safety and reliability.
 To coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors on site work and
ensure quality works.
 Details of specifications and outline designs.
 Consider the consequences of issues such as cost, safety and time limitations
 Recommend changes following prototype test results.
 To supervise and monitor mechanical and electrical operates per construction
drawing and work schedule.
 Supervising the installation of building services, ensuring that specifications
for standards, performance and safety are met.
 Work with other professionals in and outside the engineering sector.
 Work on British (BS), European (EN) and other standards.
 Manufacture of models and prototypes of products using three - dimensional
design software.
 Overseeing the testing, maintenance and repair of the building systems for
refurbished buildings; the mechanical engineer needs to ensure that new
building services will fit into the existing building.
 Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, supervisors and all
relevant parties involved in the project.
 Ensuring that building systems are in good working order before handing the
project over to the client.
Project Brief

The architectural works consist of design, planning, preparation and production of


drawings and specifications and the subsequent implementation, construction (including
supervised by qualified professionals), completion, commissioning, handing-over in
approved condition and maintenance of the utility which consist of the following
components:

i. Build a team consist of client-consultant-contractor. Paragon Consultant work in


consulting the project from the beginning of the project until it is going to hand over to
UniMAP.
ii. Paragon Consultant proposed:
a) Construction Project Management plan, CPM, for scheduling and to keep track of
the progress.
b) Drawing and its details consist of:

- Architectural drawing

- Structural drawing

- Road and Drainage drawing

- Water Reticulation and Sewerage flow drawing

- Mechanical and Electrical schematic drawing

iii. Tender document will also prepare by Paragon Consultant.
