Discuss about coronavirus pandemic. What can be done to

prevent coronavirus pandemic? What are you doing to help others?
What pieces of advice or reading materials have you taken and refused and why?

Claudia: Hello Andrea.

Andrea: Hello Claudia, how are you?
Claudia: I’m fine, but I’m worried, and you?
Andrea: Fine, but like you I am also worried.
Claudia: yes, because of this coronavirus pandemic there is a lot of fear.
Andrea: Tell me Claudia, what is with this virus?
Claudia: They are viruses that periodically arise in different areas of the world and cause
acute respiratory infection, that is the flu, which can be mild, moderate, severe,
or deadly.
Andrea: Oh, my goodness! And is there a cure?
Claudia: No, there isn’t, it is very contagious.
Andrea: How is it spread?
Claudia: When a sick person coughs or sneezes and expels virus particles that can come in
contact with other people (persons).
Andrea: I heard that the virus cannot not travel in the air, but only on contact with
infected surfaces.
Claudia: Not really, doctors now believe it can spread both by air and on contact with
infected surfaces.
Andrea: Claudia, how can we avoid being infected?
Claudia: We must wash our hands correctly, with soap and water; Similarly, avoid contact
with sick people; when sneezing, cover your mouth or sneeze into your elbow; stay
home; wear a mask; clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces;
ventilate your house.
Andrea: I think that food is also very important since it strengthens our body.
Claudia: Of course Andrea. Also, my sister, who is a doctor in Argentina, recommends
drinking hot aromatic drinks, spraying with eucalyptus and eating healthy,
especially plenty of raw paprika, raw garlic, kiwi, juices and drinking plenty of
water.
Andrea: Claudia, we must also follow the prevention protocol when you leave home,
when you get home and when there is a sick person at home.
Claudia: That's right Andreita, very good! if we comply with all that, there is less risk of
infection
Andrea: The symptoms are not clear to me; will it be like a flu?

1
Claudia: It gives a fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, runny nose, general
malaise.
Andrea: They gave me good advice.
Claudia: Who did?
Andrea: The media informs us but also causes us more fear. I am not listening to any more

news and neither am I investigating the subject anymore, since I think what I
know is enough.
Claudia: I agree with you.
Andrea: I have been thinking about how to help in the midst of this crisis, and I have come
to the conclusion that we can do a lot.
Claudia: Sounds good to me. What do you plan to do?
Andrea: I want to create a prayer group, donate food to those most in need, and teach
others how to protect themselves. That is why I asked you about the virus.
Claudia: Great! I’ll help you; you can count on me.
Andrea: Thanks Claudia, wait for my instructions. We will be in touch, bye.
Claudia: Okay, see you, bye
