Vietnam War: Causes and Impact to the World

The World War II was not the end of the conflicts in different countries but it

was the beginning of the new war. One of the examples of war after WWII was the

famous Korean war. It was the conflict between the communist government of the

North Korea and the democratic government of the South Korea. Different countries in

the world were participated in the Korean War like the USSR and China. They helped

the North Korea to invade the South Korea and because America was one of the allied

nations of South Korea, they helped it. 2 years after the Korean War, the tension in

Vietnam was exploded. One of the Longest and costly war in the history of the world

was the Vietnam war. The Vietnam war was the conflict between the communist

government of North Vietnam and South Vietnam. America was principal ally of the

South Vietnam and the conflict was intensified by the ongoing Cold War between the

United and the USSR.

More than 3 million people were killed in Vietnam War (including over 58,000

Americans) and more than half of 3 million were Vietnamese civilians. In 1973, the

President Richard Nixon of America, withdraws the U.S forces. The Communist forces

ended the war by seizing control of South Vietnam in 1975 and the country was

unified as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam the following year.
