Please consider me a candidate for the position of Public Relations intern for the Boys and Girls Club
MetroWest. I am a junior at Worcester State University with a major in communications and minor in
business and psychology. I hard about this position on the BAGC.org website under careers and was
immediately interested in the position as it would be the perfect fit for what I want to do after I
graduate. I feel I would be a great attribute with my history at the Boys and Girls Club and my exposure
in public relations.

I have worked at the Boys and Girls club for two years as a staff but would love to contribute what I am
learning in school to an internship I love. Working for the Boys and Girls Club have given me an inner
prospective of what the club is about how to express it to the public. Knowing the wants and needs of
the program will insure that the Boys and Girls Club will have a strong representative writing and sharing
it with the public.

At Worcester State I have academic experience in media writing, community writing, and business
communication where I learned to make cover letters, blogs, advertisements, new releases, press
releases, feature stories, and op-ed pieces. I have become confident in all of these and can incorporate
each of them into the Boy and Girls Clubs Public Relations Department. I am excited to learn more about
public relations and how to improve my skills with this experience. I am responsible, reliable, and open
minded. I am willing to put the time and effort it takes to be successful and give you a product that will
get the most effective.
